FALLING FOR MY FIANCEE'S BROTHER
After years of loving him, Elena had expected many things from Marco, maybe a ring ? a whispered promise of a forever? but him choosing her best friend instead?
“Will you come to our wedding?” he asked with a smile, as though he hadn’t just shattered her world.
“I know you might be heartbroken, but don’t be so uptight,” he added lightly, his tone far too carefree. “I didn’t mean to fall out of love with you. I couldn’t help it. We still need your blessing.”
For a moment, Elena simply looked at him, her stomach churning, her chest tightening with a pain she refused to show.
Then, instead of breaking the way he expected, she smiled.
Softly, Sweetly.
“I’ll come,” she said.
A flicker of surprise crossed his face, quickly replaced by satisfaction.
But Elena wasn’t done.
“I’ll come to your wedding, Marco,” she continued, her voice calm, almost gentle. “But as your sister-in-law.”
