Both his tiny hands were holding on to his father’s. I shifted my sight towards Zaetron and noticed his eyes were of the same color, a crimson red one. Regaining my strength and balance, I forced myself to stand up and walk a step toward the Alpha. “W-What are you d-doing to him?” But Zaetron simply grabbed my son’s shirt and hid the kid behind him. I raised my weapon too slowly. "Lena!" Keith's voice, filled with panic, and then he was there, throwing himself between me and the creature's attack, absorbing the blow intended for me across his shoulder and chest. "Keith!"
