She glared at her son. “You know I should be on my way to a business trip,” he frowned. The woman ignored him and faced Mrs Donovan. “I’ve already picked Madeline for him.” “Oh, that beautiful girl,” Mrs Donovan smiled. “You have eyes for good things. When my daughter-in-law is twenty-two, she will get to know Kelvin,” she smiled happily. The woman frowned. “What if Kelvin falls for another person?” I waited for the answer nervously. Thirty minutes later, Donovan got home. Entering the living room, there was someone there. Someone he knew so well. “What do you want?” He asked coldly without looking at her. “Do you realize I birthed you?” Mrs Keid uttered dropping the glass of champagne she had been drinking. Donovan didn't answer her, he dropped his key on the tv stand before going to his bar. Although annoyed that his mother was around, he would still like to know why she had come.

Kelly checked her vitals before giving her prescriptions and reminding me not to stress her out. “Ace” she rasped my name after everyone finally left. “Fiore” I held her hand, staring into her stormy brown hues. “Dante. Did you get him?” and Kelly is lecturing me not to stress her out. “He escaped, but we have a lead where he might’ve fled.” She nodded, the anger radiating from her golden chocolate irises was as clear as the day. “Get some rest, we can walk on the beach tomorrow morning.” “Will you lie down with me?”

She leaned closer to Caspian, drawing strength from his presence as she faced the challenges that lay ahead. Elena's eyes flashed with fury, her composure slipping as she turned to Caspian. You see…she’s not home now, so—“ As he was still talking, I crossed to him in nanoseconds and grabbed him by the flannel shirt he had on, pulling him up to his feet and dragging him to my face. “Are you questioning me now, Kyle Volkov? Trust me, that would be such a bad idea, making an enemy of the Don. Now,” I pulled him up, closer to my ear, “Where is Alina?”
