Third Person's POV Kelsey's voice was ice cold. "I warned you last time. Don't mess with me again!" "You're just some peasant from the slums. I can take you out like an ant! How dare you fight back? Just you wait! I'm not letting your family off the hook!" Kelsey laughed coldly. "Okay, go for it. But if you try anything, I have an even better video—and you're not wearing any clothes in it. I'm sure a lot of people would love to see that."

"Maybe that will be your first assignment?" Kelsey felt as though she were in a staring contest with a cobra. She didn't like her odds.

“I knew attending to you would mean trouble. But I still came because I need this job. So tell me what you want — and stop deluding yourself that every woman on this planet is dying for your attention.” The silence that followed was thick — dangerous. No one had ever spoken to Kingsley Voss like that. Not in public. Not in private. Something dark flickered in his eyes — not anger, but intrigue. “I like girls like you,” he murmured, stepping closer, “the ones who pretend they don’t know me but always end up in my bed anyway.” Tessa’s back hit the wall as he closed in, his scent thick with confidence and entitlement. His next words sliced through her like a blade.

That sentence seemed to surprise him and confirmed her earlier theory about rich people. With his eyes locked on hers, she knew she could have anything she wanted. Even when he was busy displaying his arrogance, she could see fear and worry in his hazel eyes. Kelsey pursed her lips, refraining herself from grinning. She had never thought that having some sort of power over someone could be this thrilling. Her heart was pounding with excitement and she blurted her next sentence a little too fast. “I want you.” Realizing she had not told him her true intention clear enough, she quickly added, “I want you to pretend to be my rebound guy.”

“You are so worried about me, that you fail to see what is happening right under your nose.” Her nostrils flared. “What are you trying to say? Stop speaking in riddles.” I laughed, a small cold laugh. “Oh, look over there…” I motioned to Kael who was still lingering ahead, his eyes fixed on me. “You say no one cares I left, why is it that your Kael, seems to be getting obsessed with me lately.” Her face turned cold, she turned back to confirm. When she looked at me again, she looked almost sick.

Doris's face darkened immediately. "Aren't I talking to you?" she snapped. Kelsey continued scrolling through her phone as if she hadn't heard a single word. The sight only made Doris angrier. "Did you come here because you knew I would be here?" Doris demanded. "You've even started stalking people now?" Kelsey's brows furrowed. She finally lifted her head and looked at Doris. Confusion filled her eyes. Stalking? What exactly was this woman talking about? "Don't look confused when you know exactly what you're doing," Doris continued sharply.

He says his words sounding like a promise. Before he could complete his sentence, I move and race for the doorway leading to the house. And the words, written large, deliberate, each letter formed slowly enough that you could see where the hand had paused and pressed harder.
