His voice was low, controlled, yet carried so many unspoken intentions that my stomach tightened.
I shook my head slowly, concern etched on my face. “Are you really angry?”
“Use your words,” he commanded again, his tone sharper now, a mixture of assertion and need.
“No, you didn’t,” I whispered, unsure of what he wanted from me.
“You’re right,” Killian said, voice low, deliberate, and with a hint of amusement. His hands were like iron as he reached for me. With effortless strength, he flipped me onto my stomach, the sudden motion making me gasp audibly, my chest pressing into the soft sheets. I lay still, waiting, anticipation curling through me.
