I thought with a scornful look on my face. "I can't wait to control their feeble mind," Kendra, my dragon, said with an excited look. "For making fun of how I looked." This war had started years ago when I first accidentally found a book titled the first dragons. And then someone helped me to know more about the first dragons, and their history. Everything started with that first book. The book was buried deep in the depth of a library, and that was the only print, I had found out later. The fascination became obsession and the obsession became need.

The cover of the book is one I know fairly well as it was the first book I learned how to read. "I am assuming you are familiar with this tale?"

Behind the swaying bead curtains, two men were roughly dragging a woman as they tore the garments from her body. “F*ck! Get your filthy hands off!” Whoever touched the dragon’s nerve had to die! In an instant, Philip’s eyes turned red. He roared out loud, grabbed two glass bottles, and rushed up the stairs! Drogo barely had time to react when he saw a silhouette fly past him. How dare he make a move! I am Drogo Hanks! The man everyone has to greet whenever they see me, but this boy toy just went ahead and took action?

But if I told them the truth, maybe they would take me back to Thornwood. “A werewolf.” I said as loud as I could muster. Collective gasps broke out around me. Gasps of shock and disdain. Two names slowly appeared on the page after it was wet. “Adrian Xander.” “Nadine Gardner.” Carlene’s body shook upon reading the two names. Then, she shut her eyes tightly and said, “Chad, you may find this hard to believe. I’ve checked over and over again, yet in the end, I myself still have difficulty believing that the prediction in the book is true. Nadine has made acquaintances with War Legate Draco. And if I’m not mistaken, Draco is looking for this book. “Chad, this is all your fault for choosing not to destroy the book in the past. Now, the outlanders have it too. If this prediction is true, your daughter won’t live more than a few years.”

They were arrogant and cocky towards her kind. "Reading too many fairy tales?" Drogo snorts. "We are dwindling in number. We have merged together. We aren't exactly picky about which jobs to take. Besides, Paiste isn't known for his peacekeeping ways." Selene eyes Drogo. "Who?" "Do you not know your history?" Drogo questions. "Paiste, the dragon that brought destruction to Celtic villages for vengeance? He is a fire dragon and has quite a temper. He rules our small hive and has quite a vendetta against wolves and vampires. Your witch handed him the perfect revenge on a silver platter-no puns intended." Drogo smiles at his joke.

“Before that, I want to have a taste of her for the last time...” I freeze. “...She's a whore after all.” Drogo snarls and I see red. I lunge at him without thinking, my fingers wrapping around his throat and slams him against the wall. Blood streams down his nose but he merely chuckles, even as my claws dig into the skin of his neck. “How dare you call her that?!” He grins, revealing his blood stained teeth. “Are you ashamed of her?” Drogo growls weakly in my head as he nearly surfaces.

Kellie (POV) Mitch is right. It is over and done with. And out of all this, I gained a family. Something I always dreamed about, and it has now come true.
