Adrian swallowed. "Mark was still there." The room froze, because that changed everything. For years Adrian had believed Mark died. But according to his own memory, Mark survived. Victor survived. The body disappeared. And somebody removed every trace of what happened. Then Damian suddenly spoke. "What if that's why the killer is targeting everyone now?"

But before they could reach it, Alexandra's figure appeared from behind the chimney. “You're amazing, Vic,” she smiled, gun drawn. “No wonder Stefan fell in love with you. But unfortunately,” she pointed the gun at Stefan, ”I don't like sharing my toys.” Everything happened in a split second. The sound of a gunshot. Stefan's body was pushed back. Blood seeped down his white Ermenegildo Zegna shirt. And Vic, the “Calculated Killer”, finds himself in a position he never expected - having to choose between saving the man who loves him or pursuing the truth about his own family.

I pushed her away. “You cheated. I did nothing. Why should I apologize?” I was about to throw her out when she sneered and shoved her phone in front of my face.
