“Yes!” Kimbeerly continued to smile at her friend who had gotten into the car to go home after finishing her lecture. After seeing that her friend had actually left she began to move with a few books that she held because her bag was full of other books. Kimbeerly continued walking towards the food stall before heading home. She loved the outside world but had boundaries and was very disciplined about it. She would eat and then she would go home.

Seeing how he was in a daze, Meredith said to him, "Charlie, should I go to the bookstore upstairs and get some books for you?" "It's okay. Kimberly already bought them." "...did she?" "They're in the drawer." Meredith opened the drawer to see a handful of books in there, and they were mostly books that Charlie was interested in. Kimberly was indeed Charlie's fan girl. She seemed to know a lot about Charlie's interests. Looking at those books, Meredith could not help but think that Kimberly was a rather nice girl. She did love Charlie but Charlie did not like her. If not, they would have made a great couple.

Kimberly After Jason leaves out the office, I continue to read through one of their history books. I've read three of them so far and there are many more books about werewolves here in Jason's office. Reading these books has taught me a lot about werewolves. I've learned about the moon goddess and about many of their traditions and ways of life. I've read about different wars that the wolves have fought against other supernatural creatures. I've learned a lot of interesting things from reading these books.

Cold winds gushed through my skin but it only made me feel just a bit better. *** Lexa's POV "...and the princess..." "Did she grow wings and fly?!" Kim asked excitedly. Kids were meant to sleep when read a bedtime story to but Kim was doing the exact opposite. She was jumpy. I was reading her the fourth book and she didn't look like she would sleep anytime soon. In fact, I was getting sleepy. I yawned before I answered her. "No, Kim. She jumped into the dry well and hid away from the evil king."

“Esmerelda, what a beautiful name for a beautiful woman.” I don’t know who was more shocked by the words that poured forth from that handsome mouth with eye catching straight and -dentist whitened- teeth. From the look of shock on Melanie and Nora’s face, it was clear that they hadn’t expected such a comment any more than I had. “Esmerelda Sleuth is her full name,” Melanie giggled, with emphasis on my last name of Sleuth. “Here’s the best of it. She’s an investigator! Get it? Esmerelda Sleuth is a sleuth!”

She stormed off, her heels click clacking across the floor. With a satisfied hum, Kimberly sauntered up to me. We both knew I wasn’t the one who ruined Lucille’s dress. It had been her, and Lucille likely knew that, but how could she resist an opportunity to remind me of where I belonged? Kimberly flicked her hair over her shoulder. It was long, glossy, and the color of fresh chestnuts. Everything about her was beautiful. Everything except for the light within her eyes. Everything except for her greedy, selfish soul.

Emily was alone. Taking a deep breath, she assessed her surroundings. The room was bare, with a single, grimy window high on the wall. There was no way out. She had to think of something, and fast. Emily's mind raced. She knew Kamsy and Amy would be searching for her, but she couldn't rely on that. She had to find a way to survive, to escape. She had faced danger before, but this time felt different. She was in the lion’s den, and getting out would be the fight of her life.

Luke muttered discontentedly. To this, Liam added, "Take out the third book on the top row, seventh column. It's 'Jack: Straight from the Gut.'" Kelvin had someone bring a ladder. He climbed up and found that the book on the specified spot was indeed the book Liam mentioned. That was incredible! How did Liam do that? "Are you curious about how I remember them?" Liam, still engrossed in his work, said without looking up, "Because I've read all the books on these shelves, and I remember every detail."

Kimberly: Unable to take the worry that threatened to eat deep into my mind. It was almost as though it sat me down and was ready to mess with my mind. I could feel my heartbeat already skyrocketing with anxiety so I decided to pick up a book to read. A few minutes later, I sighed harshly. My eyes still circled on one sentence and I groaned. The usual flair I had for reading novels which was about Hot Arabian Princes was gone. It was as though I was reading a geography textbook.

Or there was something else? “Are you okay?” he asked before he could stop himself. Kimberly hesitated for a second too long. “I’m fine,” she said finally, though her voice wasn’t convincing. “Just… tired.” Before Bryce could press further, Keira returned, hopping back onto his lap with the book in hand. “I found it!” She held it up proudly, showing it to her Mom. “Mommy, it’s the one with the dancing fox! Remember?” “I remember, baby,” Kimberly smiled, and Bryce watched that tired expression vanish instantly. Her entire being lit up for her daughter.
