Kindle That Reads Aloud Novels & Stories

Nora settled back against her pillow with a satisfied smile, and I folded my hands in my lap and waited. Kieran cleared his throat. He began reading in his normal voice, low and even, and for the first page or so, I thought maybe Nora had exaggerated. But then he got to the first line of dialogue, and without any preamble, a deep, rumbling voice came out of him that made me blink in surprise. “‘Well, little hedgehog,’” he read, “‘if you go out in that storm, I’ll tell your mother, and you won’t get any acorns for a week!’”

When Astrid, as for our employees, Sônia, myself and my occupations, studying with the Kindle, which before I read only to alleviate boredom, suddenly became one of the best satisfactions in life for me, magic In the past, it was well used, adapting it to today's world, it had its benefits. Even if it was all just because he and I talked about Kindle, we read together and he brought me countless books that I downloaded onto my device, whereas before, taking care of Sônia and studying with her were painful obligations.

We say our goodbyes and I toss my phone onto the couch next to me, looking around the room. It's quiet when Santos has the kids. Almost too quiet. And there's nothing to do. I've deep cleaned the entire apartment from top to bottom. I've done four loads of laundry and put it all away. I even threw dinner in the crockpot already, so my regular chores are done. I tap my fingers on my leg and the Kindle shoved between couch cushions catches my eye. Ooh. I could read for a bit. What is the name of that author I like? The one who writes about all those bearded brothers? Penelope Reads? Penny Reads? Penny Reid! That's it!

I clutched the blanket and stayed still, hoping the lightning would stop and let me breathe. “What do you want to read?” He asked, wrapping his arm around me and pushing me flush against his chest. I was almost lying on top of him. He must have not seen how red my face was as he scrolled through the fiction section on Kindle. “I am not in the right position to read.” “I will read it to you.” I couldn’t miss a chance like this. “Romance,” I said in my best I-am-scared-of-lightening-please-read-me-something voice. Then added, “With some steam.”

He was here for me. When we finally settled down into our usual circle, Linda Lively's book was opened, I noticed the way Kael handled his copy. Like it was something worth respecting, worth holding carefully. It made me smile. “Kael,” April said suddenly, her grin mischievous, “why don’t you read for us?” I half expected him to decline. To smirk and shake his head like reading aloud was beneath him. But instead, he nodded. Took the book and cleared his throat.

He is reading on a bench, a backpack sat beside him and a takeaway coffee sat next to him as he reads. “So, close your eyes and try to zone in on him only” I do as she instructs, at first it’s hard as the voices are loud, each praying for different things. I smile as I hear a little girl praying for the latest Barbie house for her birthday, it sounds so innocent. The next to come is an older lady praying her husband never finds out about her and the man from the butchers, not quite as innocent.

After three or four more days of him there daily, Arianna was starting to get used to his cheerful voice and his guffaws, or the serious talks with the Chairman and others about hacienda affairs while they drink coffee after lunch wherein he appeared solid in his authority, and she wondered if Eric would be like him when he grew old because he already was good about being imposing and autocratic, anyway. She didn’t dwell on the little pricks of pain she felt thinking this. She was missing him so much. At the end of the first week, a worker from the office brought two boxes to the house. He said one of the family drivers brought them from Manila with an instruction from Eric they were to be d

My plan was to explore the house and find out every single possible escape route, while planning my escape. Why the hell does Mr. Dark and Dangerous have to be Mr. Smarty Pants as well? He leaves without a word, closing the door gently behind him. Twenty minutes later, the guard comes in with an electronic Kindle, drops it on the bed and leaves without uttering a single word. Strange. Glad to finally be able to do something, I pick up the Kindle and open up the first book. It's about a knight who eventually falls in love with a common girl. Classic.

“We can schedule a New Year there and have fun and drink. We can also set up our own fireworks.” “That’s great,” I sipped on my black coffee and the bitterness was just perfect. Then, I scribbled on the tablet that was given to me as a gift and for this work. “Thank you for the ebook reader that you gave.” I looked at Penny. “Oh, it’s nothing. We sell those and I happened to have the limited edition one. It’s also unlimited for a year so you can read whatever you want for free.” “I will really get lazy and read. Hyacinth said as per her plan so I’m joining her.”

He leans down for another quick kiss and then he's out the door without looking back. Okay. So all alone. What to do? Lazarus has taught me how the TV works. It’s like a TV with a built-in computer. There is a program in it to translate the text so that I can read it or a voice reads it out loud and the translator in my ear translates the speech.
