Ralph slammed on the brakes, which made the truck's tires skid on the wet pavement, stopping inches from the other car's bumper. "What the hell?" Ralph shouted, reaching for his radio to call in his situation when his window suddenly shattered. Ralph screamed, shielding his face from the glass. Before he could reach for a weapon under his seat, a gloved hand reached in to haul him out of the car. Three huge men stood over him. They wore expensive suits that were getting ruined in the rain. Dmitri Varga stepped forward. "Where is it?" Varga asked calmly. "Where is what?" Ralph gasped, clutching his bruised ribs. "It’s just computer parts! I don't have the keys to the back!"

After the ride, we wandered through the park, stopping at a stall selling cotton candy, Ralph collected a stick of blue, while I grabbed pink. He suddenly leaned over, pretending to examine my candy. “You made the wrong choice my Princess.” He chuckled dramatically. “Pink is overrated, blue is obviously superior.” I raised my eyebrows, giving him a bombastic side eye “Excuse me, pink has a subtle refined sweetness, and it's girly while blue is garish and snobbish.” He leaned closer, close enough that I could feel his breath. “Refined? Or just predictable?” I laughed, swatting his arm lightly. “Predictables might be safer.”
