POV: Ronan Montague Juliana died for nothing. That thought burned through my mind as I stood in the library, staring at Sebastian Sterling's evidence spread across the table. Documents proving that her death wasn't tragic fate or the inevitable consequence of a forbidden bond. It was murder. Calculated, orchestrated, designed specifically to break me. "Ronan." Helena touched my arm carefully. "We need to move. King Alexander's soldiers are securing the campus for tomorrow's ball. If we're going to act, it has to be tonight."

“I thought you hated me and wanted me out of the way. So why?” “Hated you? Never in my life have I hated you, Chelsea. For your major semester project in physiology, you’ll be working in groups of four. I’ve assigned them randomly to keep things fair.” A ripple of groans spread through the room. I sank a little lower in my seat, hoping for a decent group. The professor started reading out names. “Group three: Julian Kingsley, Kai Thompson, Charlotte Harrington, and Eros Vale.”

He announced, which leads to a few gossips from the audience. “You dare serve under me and betray me, mortal?” Axl’s voice boomed. Mortal? Emily became stunned. She didn’t know that Alfred was a mortal. Fear built itself inside her as he’s risking his life for this. “I do not serve for you! I serve for the safety of me and my daughter. You’re not fit to be king! The throne isn’t made for cheating kings like you!” He pointed as he created big, heavy steps to where Axl was standing.

Levi was a little scared as he said, "Hey, don't scare me." Julien glanced at him coldly and suddenly stood up. Perhaps, it was because he had never drank before, or perhaps he had stood up too quickly, so he was feeling extremely dizzy. His body swayed and he fell right back onto his seat. Although they would always bicker, Levi would still worry about Julien whenever something happened to him. Thus, Levi immediately helped Julien up and asked, "What's wrong with you, Julien?" Julien brushed Levi's hand away and warned him in a cold voice, "Levi, if you dare to mention this word in front of me again, I will make sure to let you die a miserable death."
