The ancient ryokan nestled deep in the forested hills outside Kyoto, hidden behind blooming cherry blossoms that glowed like pale lanterns under the moonlight. Spring rain had just passed, leaving the air heavy with the scent of wet cedar, blooming wisteria, and steaming mineral water from the private onsen. Lanterns cast a soft amber glow across dark wooden beams and sliding shoji screens. The only sounds were the gentle trickle of a bamboo fountain and the distant, haunting call of a night bird.

CONAN POV Meanwhile, Conan went outside the terrace to smoke while watching the snow falling from skies. He was glancing at his phone when he heard his girlfriend and Sophia's mom, Karen. "You really have the hobby of watching the snow at night, Conan! I wonder how many memories you have while watching every snow fall from the skies!" Conan turned back and blew the smoke. He watched her every step while speaking. "Yes! I have so many memories during winter-as a matter of fact, winter is my favorite weather, especially during Christmas!"

She said, a smile on her face, her eyes on him. Konan slowly nodded, looking uncomfortable. He slowly whispered. “To the end of Moonclaw.”
