Kiara The creature stood motionless in the arched doorway, its elongated shadow stretching across the uneven stone floor. Moonlight filtered through some unseen opening above, illuminating its face in disjointed flashes, a jaw that hung too low, skin stretched taut over protruding cheekbones, and milky eyes that gleamed with unnatural awareness. The most disturbing detail was the ornate necklace around its neck, a large gemstone set in silver, completely out of place on such a monstrous form.

“Korra.” What a pretty name. She hasn’t spoken to me and I’m not sure why. Ethan touching us set her off. I also can’t stomach it but she’s got guts. She’s brave and I can feel her bravery becoming my own as I watch her stand her own against him. Ethan’s hand gripped my cheeks and he lowered his face until they were eye to eye. “Oh, Korra. Don’t you know how to show respect?” Ethan asked. She spat in his hand and I gasped. Ethan’s eyes darkened and a sinister smile pulled at the corners of his lips. Korra wasn’t afraid, she wasn’t going to let him think he had any hold on her.

“Please wake up.” The Lycan King stepped closer. “This is only the beginning, Kora. I will kill everyone you love and make you watch as they die, just as you've killed my people." I screamed and woke up gasping. I sat up, my hands shaking and my chest tightening painfully. This time, I was more frightened because this was the second time he had called me Kora, my late great-grandmother's name. Kora was the same Luna who had defeated him when he attacked Stormfield with Alpha Alexandra.

I questioned. "Luna. My name is Luna Eveline and am the wife of Alpha Caleb, ruler of the Vega pack" she paused for a brief moment, taking in my expression carefully before her right thumb began caressing my left cheek affectionately. "And You my dear child must be Avalon, correct?" I gave a small nod in confirmation and her smile only got broader and warmer. "You are welcome my dear" she quickly let go of my hand and pulled me into her embrace. Her arms wrapping around me fondly and I found myself getting tense at first before relaxing into the warmness of her body.

"I was planning go highlight it because it looked so beautiful. Your name is spelt with a K?" My brows furrowed. "What?" "I mean," she said, her eyes darting a little incredulously between I and Ava. "Your name is Cora, right? That is what the alpha told me. When I saw the tattoo, I thought your name started ith a K." I swallowed, my lips parting. Before I could say anything, Ava jumped in. "You are right. Her name starts with a K. Very peculiar, right?" Miranda nodded, smiling. "Yes, it is. But it's beautiful. Perfect for you."

Did he really think I was speaking rhetorically? "An Avatar is like you and me, but they can do so much more, you could be a berserker with magic, you could be a wizard with swordsmanship, there's even this girl in the capital, a tank healer and she can control spirits, imagine this talent when she is older!"

Rahila said, Isadora hugged me calmly. “Everyone believes you didn’t just collapse from fatigue, it was as if something went wrong.” Gaven said, he looked as though he was trying to figure something out. “Did you get your demon?” Isadora asked and I nodded. “Oh my God! That explains why you collapsed.” Gaven said. He sounded relieved. “What is her name?” Rahila asked. “Kora, that’s her name.” I said. They all smiled, Rahila looked excited. “That means, soon you’ll be able to unlock your powers.” Isadora said, she gave me another hug.

“Killain?” “The council has come to a decision,” Jacob said. “Killian say something!! You won't let me die will you?!” “Korra, daughter of the former Beta Morris,” Killain announced, “you have brought harm to the whole pack and have been recognized as a threat to the peace and safety of the pack...” “No…no…dad!!”

Kora said a little flustered. “My apologies Connor, Dakota.” Karson said motioning for the two young males to enter. “Kora, love, this is Alpha Connor and his brother and Beta, Dakota BlackPaw.” they both bowed in respect. “It’s my pleasure, please come in.” Kora waved them in. “This is our daughter in law and Kruz’s mate, Keane.” Kora said leading them to the living room. “Keane, sweetie, would you and our idiot son who also happens to be your mate, please bring our guests something to drink?”

Before I could though, Kora spoke, “Look, you leave the matters here to me and Drake. For now, the spell is done. I’ll send you pictures of where Raiha’s hiding.” “Wait! Kora!” To my dismay, she did not wait and just hung up on me. Even if she told me to leave matters to her, I didn’t know if I could trust her to handle it. It wasn’t necessarily that I didn’t ‘trust’ her, as it was more that I wasn’t sure if she could handle it. It was a vampire, under Garon’s rule. Who knows how powerful he could be?! Especially if he was able to sneak into the heart of the Werewolf Kingdom and kidnapped the twins.
