Rejection to Rebirth: A Luna's Vengeance
“Don’t, Klaus... Just... don’t. I’m ready.”
Closing the distance between us, I place my hand on his chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart under my palm. It’s a heart that once beat in sync with mine, in our younger, more innocent days.
“Goodbye, Ares,” I whisper, and in one swift motion, I rip his heart from his chest. The life fades from his eyes, leaving behind only the shell of the brother I once knew.
As his body slumps, lifeless, before it even hits the ground, I stand there, hand clenched around the still-beating heart. The room is silent, save for the sound of my heavy breathing and the soft thud of his body.
