La Venganza Es Dulce Novels & Stories

The strong Albaricano coffee was slightly bitter, yet its rich aftertone kept lingering on my tongue the whole time. I raised my head to look at Ramona. She wore a pair of gold-rimmed glasses and had her hair styled properly without a strand out of place. At the moment she looked extremely smug and ambitious. To me, ambition wasn't a bad thing to have. In fact, ambitious people were often bold enough to work hard for what they wanted. However, if one chose to ascend in ranks by sabotaging others, their ambitiousness would be warped entirely.

“But trust me, Precious… when it does, everyone will remember my name.” “Fine. I’ll keep the number. No promises,” she said. “That’s all I need,” I whispered. She stepped back, card in hand, uncertainty clouding her expression. I remained still, watching her walk away with her pride flickering like a dangerous flame. Once she was far enough, I whispered to myself: “Good girl. You’ll call. They always do… when revenge becomes delicious.” I turned back toward the cemetery entrance, where Jennifer was surrounded by mourners and Croft hovered protectively, to finish what I came for.

I hated how defensive I sounded. “Don’t forget why you are there, Francesca,” he warned. “Don’t forget what he did to your parents to our family. This is not a game, he is not a man you get comfortable with. He is a snake, and he will bite you the second you stop watching him.” The mention of my parents was like a punch to the gut. It brought all the hate and anger rushing back. The image of their bodies, the smell of blood. That was why I was here, revenge.

she opens her mouth a few times, searching for the words, but I gently hold her hands and shake my head. “It’s not your fault. Things just… turned out this way. Maybe this was how our story was meant to end. It started with a foolish act of revenge—and in the end, revenge is exactly how it died.”

His tears seemed forced, and a diabolical grimace crawled up, taking possession of his face. " An eye for an eye. A tooth for a tooth. Blood for blood," he said and then chuckled lightly, like a child without no worries. Annabelle could see how elevated his chin were, his eyes narrowed down to her face. His breathing was noisy and his face red. " I see you hate little creatures," Frenger said. He gave Annabelle a devilish glare, one which made her lips tighten. " Bring in her play mate," he said. And then two men brought a giant metallic box, each producing a heavy thud as they were slammed on the floor. In it resonated the squeaks of mice.

“That little Zoe darling… she’s going to regret ever laying a finger on me. She’ll wish she’d never crossed my path. And when it’s all over—when the good doctor finally wakes up from that pathetic illusion—you’ll be there. Beautiful, patient, convenient.” She took a slow drag, exhaling the smoke like a promise. “The taste of revenge, my dear… is like a fine wine: the longer it ferments, the sweeter and stronger it becomes. Our plan will work. And when the time comes… no one will stop us.”

He's not getting away, and I won't let him. I ignite the matchstick and let it fall on his body. It erupts in flames, and he screams in agony and pain, but I can't find it in me to feel guilty. In fact, all I feel is satisfaction. I smile to myself victoriously. "We need to go NOW! "Dylan urges and emphasizes on the last word. We shift into our wolf forms and run, leaving dead bodies and the injured behind. What's that quote that they always say about revenge?

But now, that charm flitting in the wind seemed to slap me in the face. I ripped the good luck charm off the plant and lit it on fire before tossing it into the drain. "Mr. Leeds, when are you going to pay us the 300 dollars in compensation?" A familiar voice rang out from behind me. I turned and saw Yves, flanked by a group of workers, walking toward me like he was the king of the world. Steve shouted, "Yeah! How much money have you greedily made off of us over the years? Now, you can't even compensate us? What a dirty, rotten businessman you are!"

He crossed the room in three smooth steps and knelt in front of me, his hand resting gently—but commandingly—on mine. “Elena Moretti may be dead,” he said. “But Sierra De Luca is about to rise. To rise from the ashes of Elena. And if revenge is what you seek…” I met his eyes, steady and burning. “…then vengeance is what you shall have.” I nodded once. Fierce. Unshaken. “I want it all,” I whispered. “Every damn piece of them.”
