IT'S A JOB, NOT A RELATIONSHIP, MR. BILLIONAIRE

IT'S A JOB, NOT A RELATIONSHIP, MR. BILLIONAIRE

Just sneakers and a light jacket. The city was unusually quiet. I ended up at a small antique bookstore tucked between a florist and a tailor. It had no flashy signage, just a brass bell on the door and a handwritten welcome note in cursive. Inside, the scent of old paper and cedar wrapped around me like a story waiting to be told. I let myself drift between the aisles until a book caught my eye—Letters Never Sent. It was a collection of real, unsent letters from women over the last century. To lost loves, estranged mothers, unborn children.

Alpha's slave, the eternal submission

Gladys says, smiling at me and the ladies scream in longing at what has been bestowed for me. “Lastly…” Gladys says, presenting a stack of book towards me. “This is a volume of the king’s favorite books, bound in the finest leather and edged in gold. These poems are shared with you as a token of his desire to connect through the words that move him." Once again, there is an audible sigh spread through the women. "To share his favorite verses," one woman mused aloud. “To connect with him on such an intimate level... What I would give to hold that book, to read the words that move him." Another adds.

Married to a Demon

Isla who was making the bed suggested jokingly. "There is a book with such title?" I asked. She laughed. "Yes. It's there among the books that I brought." I looked amongst the books on the table. There lay a red book with the title 'The art of seduction' in golden letters. I looked at it for a while but then decided to go back to the art of war. Right now helping Lucian was my priority. "Shall I prepare you for sleep My Lady?" "No, I'll read some more and wait for Lucian." I said. Isla nodded and left.

The Second Time's a Charmer

Her fingers trailed each of the book’s spines while muttering the titles, Valencia is searching for the book named, ‘The Golden Success’, a manual literature that made the world’s well-known businessmen and businesswomen massively successful. She leaned her right shoulder on the bookshelf exhausted with her head hung low, groaning tiredly, “This is going to take me for ages.” A clacking sound of heels echoed in the interior hall, she swift her head behind to see a woman in her early 50’s pulling a trolley stacked with a mountain of books, she immediately strutted towards her, “Excuse me Ma’am!” the woman jumped in startle from her voice, “M-miss don’t surprise people like that!” the woman li

Never To Be Loved Again

Never To Be Loved Again

“It was Her Majesty’s turn to list out the books she had read previously,” a noblewoman answered. Marquis Parvad laughed broadly and extended his hands. “Looks like I’ve joined a good time. If it’s alright, may we hear them out as well? We’ve been looking for good books to read as of recent, truth be told.” Alicia pondered for a moment at his subtle request. A title soon came to mind and she answered, “Recently, I’ve been reading the book called ‘The Struggle For Sweetness’ and I found it an enjoyable read and to my liking.”

They wandered through the aisles, running their fingers along spines that held countless worlds within their pages. Emily's eyes sparkled with excitement as she plucked a weathered book from the shelf. "Liam, look at this," she exclaimed, her voice filled with wonder. "It's a collection of love letters from different eras. Each page holds the raw emotions of someone's heart."

The Alpha's stolen bride

Keith asked nervously. The librarian, a middle-aged woman with kind eyes and a warm smile, looked at Keith sympathetically. "Of course, dear. We have a whole section on romance and relationships. Let me show you." Keith followed the librarian to the section of the library dedicated to books on relationships. He felt overwhelmed by the sheer number of books on the shelves, but the librarian quickly found a book and handed it to him. "Here you go, dear. This book is called 'The Art of Wooing: A Guide to Winning a Woman's Heart.' It's one of our most popular titles in this section. I'm sure you'll find some helpful tips in there," she said with a reassuring smile.

The King's faceless wife.

The King's faceless wife.

She commented as she picked up the paper she was taking a note on. "The book is written by a woman called Lady Waina Silver. It says that the woman was present during the war thirty years ago so she could document the war well. She traveled with the women who cooked and nursed the soldiers so she was pretty close to the events that took place at the time. Sources are names as well but it's an endless list of men and woman who had surrounded the war, but a few names stood out, which are the four horsemen of the war..." So Old Lady Waina wrote the book herself? How interesting? I wonder how she wrote it though and how she followed the king to war. Thirty years ago might be a long time but I ha

Wonderful story with very engaging characters. Overall this needs good editing, spell checks, etc. but the story and character developments flowed well that my internal translator was automatically engaged.

“I’m looking for some books for my fiancée, but I’m not sure what she likes to read.” The sales assistant tilted her head thoughtfully. “Well, we have a wide variety. Perhaps I can suggest some classic novels? They’re always a safe choice.” Jack nodded, feeling a little more confident. “That sounds like a good idea. Can you show me some?” The sales assistant led Jack to a shelf filled with novels from different eras and styles. “Here are some classics,” she said, picking up a volume. “This is ‘Pride and Prejudice’ by Jane Austen. It’s a love story that many women adore.”

MARRIED TO THE DEVIL BILLIONAIRE FOR REVENGE

MARRIED TO THE DEVIL BILLIONAIRE FOR REVENGE

Like I'm reading diary entries to strangers. When I arrive at Lisette's apartment, there are six women waiting. They're sitting on her couches with wine and snacks. They're holding copies of my book with bookmarks sticking out where they've highlighted passages. They've done the work of reading. They've prepared. "Ladies," Lisette says. "This is Nadia. She wrote the book we're about to discuss." Nobody makes it weird. Nobody gushes or acts starstruck. They just nod like they're meeting a friend of a friend at a dinner party. Like we're about to talk about something that matters but not something that requires performance.
