Damien’s POV I was just finishing up my documents when someone knocked on the door. “Come in,” I said without looking up. “Oh, Damien. Always working!” I looked up, irritated. “Why are you here?” “Don’t be such a jerk, Damien.” She walked toward me and leaned over on the table, showing her cleavage. I looked sideways and then down at my paper, shattering her intentions. “Stop working!” She said excitedly so and was about to take my document away when I caught her hand in between. “You should walk out of here,” I said with a dark voice.

Dimitri I can’t believe I let Zev take over so much that I forgot my mate was injured. She smells so good, her little home, her sweet, little home, had been filled with the scent of lemongrass and lilies. I’d been overwhelmed with her scent, with her perky nipples, and then with her gorgeous body on full display for me. Of course then, she started throwing things at me. Dimitri raised his head and watched me coming. “Ah, here she comes,” he told his friends. They followed his eyes. She smiled at Lady Caramia's victory, not only because she was a part of Lord Dimitri's House, but because she was glad she put that obnoxious bird in her place. Lord Dimitri had been at the bar last night, but he hadn't shown up like he promised. She could remember the taste of him and the feel of him. How she had wanted him to mark her the way vampires did so she could in turn mark him the way fairies did! When he showed self restraint, she had allowed it, because he had promised they would discuss everything after the ball.
