Luna waved my words away, muttering, "Besides, you need this party. Need the rush of booze flowing through your system; hazing your sense of pain and--gah!" Luna suddenly yelped loudly, I jumped: panic making my heart thud frantically in my chest as I snapped my head around. I calmed a bit when I noticed no one was with us.
"What," I whispered to her harshly, "was that about?"
"I think some of your morbid poetic messages are starting to rub off on me." She twisted her face, and rubbed her right elbow over her other arm in a show of cleaning off dirt from her skin.
