Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn
We ran.
The last stretch should have been easy.
So, of course, it wasn’t.
The street narrowed into a final corridor, walls closing in on either side. The arch loomed at the far end, maybe fifty yards away. A shimmering barrier hung in it, faintly translucent, our way back into the heart of the city once we crossed.
Halfway down the corridor, the ground hummed.
Red glyphs flared along the walls.
“Oh, that’s bad,” Jax said.
