The Scenery of Darkness

The Scenery of Darkness

White skin, check. Face? Nah. Is that even a face? She approached us with two other women behind her. But how they walk towards us amazed me. The surroundings are like in slow-motion. Just like Catriona Gray did? Lava walk? But their walk is called differently. 'Whore walk' it should be called. They look like fools walking. It's still slowing down, you seem to be in slow motion, huh.

A Slap to Send the Scumbag Crawling

A Slap to Send the Scumbag Crawling

I suddenly saw my reflection in his arrogant eyes as nothing but a pitiful, stray mongrel he decided to give his leftover scraps to. Then, without further thought, he shoved me toward the door, meaning to tell me to get a cab back home instead. Just then, Eva suddenly ran over to us. "Mr. Garner! Ms. Castro—" While running toward me, she deliberately "failed" to stop herself and crashed right into me. A split second later, I felt her forcefully push me off the stairs so that I'd tumble all the way down to the ground. I bumped myself into several steps and even scraped and cut myself on them. Finally, I tumbled and landed with a heavy plop into a roadside ditch.

Ok time to crash this ball. I leave my bedroom. I don’t need my bag or phone. I walk towards the top of the curved staircase, my heels clicking against the marble tile. I gracefully hold on to the banister and look down. “We ready to go?” I say, and fifteen sets of eyes all look up. They all look at me in awe. I chuckle delicately as I make my slow and steady descent. My dress trailing behind me. “Well, Cassie. You scrub up well. I think we are going to be the luckiest bastards to accompany you tonight. Just don’t get any blood on this get up. It will be a bitch to get out,” Daragh says as he chuckles and I roll my eyes.

The Luna from the Future

The Luna from the Future

I barely refrained from rolling my eyes because it seemed they instantly forgot how taxing it was to talk while walking. “Alright, everyone! We only have two kilometres to walk before we arrive. We’ll have our last break here and then we’ll walk restlessly the last kilometres. So either rest here, look for more food to eat or take a quick bath! Whatever you want, just as long as you won’t get lost. Make sure to bring an adult if you’re not confident in finding the way back,” Alfred exclaimed.

The demon wolf’s Affair

The demon wolf’s Affair

It is like there was a major cleansing. Finally, I come upon stairs descending down into the darkness and my hair stands on end. I look back at the way I came from. I have been walking a long while, I wouldn’t even be surprised if it was already night outside and the fight has already ended with one of them dead. I’m already here however, and I know that whatever is below those stairs, I will not leave until I find out. I descend the stairs.

Til Death Do Us Part

Til Death Do Us Part

“Watch your step.” Jyeon reaches out for me as we walk down a dark shadowy staircase, and I pull my arm away, so he doesn’t get a chance of touching6. I walk faster and skip ahead down two steps at a time, knowing exactly where this is but acting dumb.

Wolf Moon

Wolf Moon

I look to Esme. "What do we do now?" I ask. She sighs. "We walk," she says. I had really hoped for a better plan that walking back across the Barren. And so we trudge, one foot after the other. With the sky only now lightening in the pre-dawn, I am grateful that at least we will have a few hours of walking without the sun scorching everything it touches. It won't last long though. My feet ache with the memory of having been here before, having done this before. How long until we find the dreamers? Or they find us?

Blind Alpha And His Unwanted Mate

Blind Alpha And His Unwanted Mate

June “Step only where I step. The ground here is rocky and slippery. The last thing we want is you falling and getting hurt.” Caleb’s voice reaches me as he begins moving down the cliff. The narrow trail curves sharply along the rock, patches of loose gravel scattered across the surface. The wind sweeps up from the valley, carrying the scent of pine and damp earth. He extends his hand behind him without looking back. Waiting for me to take it. For a second I just stare at it.

the alpha is supposed to be blind, it’s the whole premise of the book, yet the author constantly describes him as “seeing” people’s blood shot eyes, watching people walk away, looking at himself. it’s sloppy, bad writing. i don’t recommend the “sometimes not quite blind alpha”
Sirena Mares
Interesting characters. Interesting werewolf lore. I just hope the author never "cures" the blind alpha as he actually is mostly capable anyway. The FL goes through quite the character development, and that's putting it mildly. The quality of the narration and writing itself is publish-worthy.

The Lycan King’s Broken Mate

The Lycan King’s Broken Mate

Nyra The soft creak of the hall door still echoes in my ears as we begin our descent down the shadowed, narrow staircase. Behind me, the closing of the stone resounds with a deep, clapping sound, as if the world itself were declaring: for a time, you must walk separate paths. Against my chest, the warmth of the two tiny bodies clings like a tingling weight, bound together and to me in a sling; with every step I take, their hearts stir, every small motion reminding me: they are here, they are alive, and now I must save every ounce of strength for them.
