“Stop it! I heard. I heard all of it.” I stop. “You did?” “I did,” Archer responds. He turns and looks at Laura. “Never mind the fact that she assaulted a member of the Hayes Court.” We both watch as Laura shoves what’s remaining of her hair off her head. She huffs then tries to stand on her feet. Her one heel is broken and she wobbles on it. She jabs a finger at me. “She swindled her way into it!” She screeches. “That was my spot! I deserved it! I’ve been head of supplies for three years now!”

Laura immediately corrected. “I mean, the young heir of the Crezford family is a freelance artist. I was told that he’ll be the one to draw your portrait this year. Doesn’t that make this year’s portrait special?” she giggled. “But pardon me, Miss. What do you mean by you’re not engaged at all?” Laura walks towards her dressing table. There, on top of the dresser, another photo of Olivia Reign is in a photo frame. “It’s exactly what it means,” she answers. She cannot get engaged and get married while pretending to be Olivia. That’s messed up.

Laura was the second child of Maximus and Alexia. She had straight blonde hair, eyes that shifted between shades of gray and green, and an oval face with delicate, rosy cheeks that accented her pale, porcelain skin. She didn’t share any noticeable features with Maximus or the Palmer family. Laura was aware that her father wasn’t as close to her as she wished he could be. The room fell into a stunned silence as Ingrid leaned forward, her hand gently resting on Laura’s shoulder. “Don’t say that, honey,” she said softly, trying to placate her. “Kai is just being difficult. He’s distracted by his shiny new toy. Give it time…” But Laura shrugged Ingrid’s hand off, her expression turning colder, harder. “I’ve thought about it, Aunt Ingrid,” she said, her voice like steel. “I won’t let my land or my people fall into the hands of a bloody nobody.” She turned her gaze to me, her disdain burning into my skin.

" Laura clenched her fists tightly. Her heart pounded as she listened to Logan. "What should we do, then?" she asked. "If you want to save Mr. Clarke Senior, you might have to find her," Dr. Jones replied. "Her? Who?" Laura questioned. "Cynthia. She used to be the head of cardiac surgery at Yuvaran General Hospital. She was widely admired, having performed hundreds of surgeries without a single failure. "One of her surgeries even garnered national attention, making her the top-ranked surgeon in the medical community. I happened to see her once, and she truly was extraordinary.

I tried to ask in the best possible calm manner I could. She turned around. She had black hair, perfect hourglass figure . A bit taller than I am. She looked up and down at me, before opening her mouth to speak "I'm Laura, Christian girlfriend. I'm here to see him." Christian what?

Biting my lip in concentration. "I think I'm done," I say, his face is outstanding better already. Patching itself together as though nothing happened. He doesn't move, "you're beautiful." I flush. Looking down and picking at my cracked nails. "Stop." Chris merely smiles, "You are Andrea. And I'm going to remind you every chance I get." I fumble to words, to any response. I've never considered myself beautiful. My almost platinum blonde hair was weirdly natural and my blue eyes where so light they sometimes seemed to reflect clouds. But beautiful? No.

I wanted to counter them when Stanley cut me short and stepped forward “Thank you for taking care of the boy, please look after him till the end” he said with a smile and Laura’s bow curved in confusion “And you are?” she asked with a dubious stare “Petals’ boss at work and her boyfriend” he replied solidly and Laura managed to sneak a smile “Well, that’s good. It’s nice meeting you” she said and extended her hand for a shake “I’m Laura, one of the sponsors for the orphanage” Stanley took her hand and the smile on his face slowly faded as he said “Finally, I got to meet you”
