Layla Warren Novels & Stories

"You know why I'm here, Michael. Have you been able to convince her to give you the entirety of her trust fund?" She was referring to Lyla's trust fund. We had a lot of plans with that amount of money. Lyla kept on saying that the money would be kept for our future children, but there was nothing like future children. I knew she was barren. Or more specifically, I knew that Kendra had made her barren by the little drugs she slipped into her food for the past six years. It would be hard for Lyla to conceive which means that I have to get the entire money from her.

"How are you feeling, Chairman Alvarez?" The latter shot the doctor a glance, who immediately knew what he meant. Soon, the doctor turned around and left the ward. Once the door was closed behind the doctor, Lewis asked, "Where's Layla Saunders right now?" Layla was Lily's birth mother, who was also Robert's ex-wife. She had caused chaos at Alvarez Manor when Lily's death was confirmed. However, she seemed to have disappeared after that incident. Conrad instantly remembered who Layla was. He replied, "She's still in Elysium. The court didn't give a proper verdict regarding the case, so she's currently enlisting for help. Her greatest wish right now is getting the court to issue a death sente

"You are risking it all Hermes, James, the pack.." "Come off it Layla. Do you really know what you are talking about? The Crystal Crescent pack is responsible for Sarah's death. She was the Luna of the pack. You think the pack don't want to rip those bastard's throat? You are wrong," I interrupted her. "Can't you just let it go? I prefer you this way than the way you were in the woods, ripping out the throats of our fellow werewolves, giving the Sheriff more reasons to be on our ass," she responded calmly, probably as a sign of defeat.

Grumbling under her breath about Clifford being full of himself, Layla slouched back in her seat, flipping through the pages of the magazines with annoyance. Gayle and I share a chuckle at Layla's exaggerated frustration. “I think I won that one,” Gayle said, grinning. Layla squinted her eyes, “Oh please, we are on the draw” Suddenly, Layla turned the page and held it up, showcasing a picture of a woman dressed in a stunning red gown adorned with elegant jewelry. Her features were beautifully complemented by the accessories she wore. "Wow, she's gorgeous," Gayle remarked, her eyes fixed on the picture.

I instructed as he nodded. He pulled away just in time Xylah walked in, she had a smile on her face. "Well I am back," she announced. "Did you make my baby frown?" Xylah asked Jared when she saw my expressions. "He is still angry I betrayed him," Jared lied. "Well, that's not your fault, you were lucky enough to choose the winning side and thank you, we won with him so you don't have to worry about his expression," Xylah said.

Although the girl was dressed simply, her pure temperament could not hide her extraordinary beauty! "Layla? Aren't you supposed to be at school? What brings you back?" Seeing the newcomer, Serena was momentarily stunned. "I took leave and came back! How's Mom?" Layla Lloyd wiped the sweat off her forehead with her fair hand, panting heavily. Ronald and Hailey had three children in total. Layla was the youngest and was still attending university in the provincial capital. "Mom's condition seems okay, but Etchen seems a bit serious. I'm about to ask the doctor. How did you get back from the provincial capital so quickly?" Serena looked at Layla suspiciously.

Clara's POV 'Who is the business tycoon's new flame?' 'Trouble in paradise between hotelier Derek Montenegro and Madison Riley?' I ignored the headlines in the rest of the tabloids and skipped through them. I sighed in relief. At least none of them captured my face. "This calls for a moment to celebrate," Layla clapped her hands together. "Lucy!" she yelled. Her expression changed as she was hit with a realisation. "Oh wait, she is not here today," she whispered. "Margaret!" she yelled again.

Afterwards, the door was unlocked and opened. Layla walked in, wearing a gloomy expression as she approached us. She got to both of us then scanned the living room. "It was Traven." I clarified and she nodded. "Did he actually act anyhow convincing for you when you said you liked him?" Layla's eyes grew wide at Adalyn's voice. "How can Kaiden be getting married next week?" "Kaiden's getting married next week? Wow, someone's marrying that asshole?" She shook her head then froze as her head rotated to me, probably just heard Adalyn well enough. "You told Kaiden you liked him?!" She screamed. Her loud voice frightened me.

She stops right in front of us. "Shouldn't you be crawling back into whatever hole you came from?" Caleb asks, throwing the cold question at her. "That's cheap and funny coming from you, Gamma Caleb.” Her lips curl into a devilish smile at Caleb. “I was just about to say the same thing to Layla here." She turns to me and sizes me up like a hyena checking out its target. "Layla Kavros, you're fighting a war you can't win."
