My hand grip the wheel tightly. The neutral house is not far away now, just two more blocks and I will arrive. The house looks kinda old, the paint peeling in long strips, porch sagging like it’s tired of standing. A plaque by the door shone with red light: Neutral Territory – Pack Law Applies. It looks like a warning.

Indeed I have to concede, the werebears were savvy to make their base in the center of downtown Hartford. There are lofts and high rises all over, and by all accounts, the Dark Sign safehouse is fair an standard office building, total with security watches at the entrance. We adhere to the shadows as we crawl through the stopping parcel a few entryways down, by all appearances fair a gather of youthful grown-ups out for a day of shenanigans.

I take a hard turn off the main street, and the buildings change from stone mansions and glass condos to brick warehouses tagged with old graffiti and rundown shacks. She shifts in her seat when I pull up outside a squat, grimy building wedged between a shuttered diner and a garage. The sign above the door is faded, but you can still make out the battered gloves painted next to the words “Hollow Ground Boxing.” Liana eyes the entrance like it’s a trap. “You’ve got to be kidding me,” her voice seeps with displeasure. I cut the engine and lean back, letting the silence stretch. “What, princess?”

Aishat and Johnathan were also there and Tiana being a lovely mood gave them a warm welcome. After the wedding, they traveled to USA for their honeymoon ready to start a new chapter of their life.

I recognized a bakery, a clothing store, and something called a dentist. That was a concept Fynn tried to explain when I asked, but I couldn’t for the life of me imagine that somebody would willingly poke their fingers into your mouth. Werewolves and Vampires didn’t exactly have cavities or whatever Fynn called them. Our bodies heal on their own or we died. It was that simple. We drove around an enormous circle that seemed to be the centre of town and there were more buildings. These looked like little miniature castles and I instantly recognized them to be the homes humans lived in.

The party is already in full swing. People are scattered around the enormous backyard in groups mingling and drinking while others are at the buffet or dancing to the loud music being played by the dj. Lanterns and fairy lights are placed around the perimeter of the yard illuminating the clear night sky and a huge banner stretched across the entrance way reads "Happy Birthday Noah." My eyes scan the yard looking for the birthday boy himself. It doesn't take long before I'm able to spot him. He must've felt me looking at him because seconds later he looks my way.

Her eyes held mine for a second, then turned to Morgana, “Are we sharing our territory with them?” Lilian is Isabelle’s sister. They came to Midwick five months ago seeking a refuge and hoping to start a life without the looking danger of their family. Morgana tried to assure the wariness spread by Isabelle’s words, meanwhile Tom moved his body closer to mine. We were standing in the corner, our shoulders touching softly. I felt his hand brushing by mine. I recalled a time when such a simple action would make my heart race in my chest, but now, it only skipped a beat.

South City’s largest gang’s territory was located there, and when Susan was a single mother pregnant with Fiona, she got to know many of the bad guys by getting along with them.

The only hold-up was caused by a little pothole and every driver tried to avoid falling into it thereby avoiding the part with the pothole. At exactly 45minutes later I was at Anthony's place. When I packed my car and alighted, I noticed some group of teenage boys watching me, there was no animosity in their stares so I wasn't scared. They probably noticed my confusion as one of them came to meet me where I stood beside my car. I had just brought out my phone to place a call to Anthony. "Good Day ma'am." The young teenage boy said to me. "Good day," I replied and held my bag closer to myself.
