Among them, a soft, lilting voice repeatedly murmured, "Guard your heart, for the shadows seek to claim it." Liora, always sensitive to the energies around her, whispered, "There's a presence here, not malicious, but... sorrowful." The deeper we ventured, the stronger the presence felt. Suddenly, from the depths of the shadows, a translucent figure appeared. It was a young woman, her face marked by both beauty and tragedy. "I am Lysandra," she began, her voice echoing the sadness of centuries. "Guardian of the first shard. My heart was consumed by its power, forever binding me to these caves."

Her eyes were a piercing blue, and her skin had an otherworldly glow. "Who are you?" I asked, my voice trembling slightly. "I am the Lady of the Shadows," she replied, her voice soft yet commanding. "And you, Freya, are the chosen one." "The chosen one for what?" I asked, confused. "To bring balance to the world," the Lady of the Shadows replied. "To wield the power of the elements and restore order to the chaos that plagues us." I felt a surge of excitement and fear. The idea of having such power was both exhilarating and terrifying.

The voice came out seductively from the wicked and ruthless Luna of the Dark Wood Pack – Lamina Darkwood. Shahara crossed her arms in front of her chest and rolled her eyes in annoyance. She then looked at Lamina while raising her brow in disgust, then to the younger version of her – who was smirking smugly at her – Leah Darkword, her daughter. She gritted her jaw and picked up the champagne from the table to take a small sip – so, she could hide her growing irritation. Lamina was wearing a very skimpy red dress with a plunging neckline that only covered her private parts. Her light ash blonde hair was done in a sleek high ponytail and her lips were painted in deep red – like she always did.

Within seconds her phone pinged incessantly with notifications from millions of adoring fans. Lydia is a mega-successful YouTuber whose makeup videos have catapulted her to a goddess-like status on the internet.

We decided to hang out together and drink coffee near the school. After taking a shower, I choose to wear a grey mini skirt with a plain t-shirt. As I don't like to do heavy makeup, I simply apply some B&B's cream on my face, light pink baby lipstick and Lakmee eyeliner in my eyes. I watched my wall clock to check the time and it was 7:33 am. My phone rings, I checked the caller ID, it was from diru. I picked up the call... "Hello, Diru", I said.

Shane's face went ashen, and he shouted at the tech crew, "Who dared to play that video? Take it down now!"

We were Shadows of the night passing each other, torn apart by death but, meant for each other by fate. Eternal soulmates, yet shadows in the dark. I reached for Rudolph with everything in me. I could almost see him in the field of flowers. He reached for me. I felt myself fading. Edgar must have figured out our connection in my mind cause he screamed.
