Future Leah smiled faintly. Setting down her cup, she glanced at the clock on the wall. Tick. Tick. When the second hand completed another lap, she finally spoke. "It's time." As soon as the words left her mouth, footsteps sounded outside. Future Leah cracked the door open. Through the narrow gap, two familiar figures walked past in silence. The Leah across from her froze. Before I could complete, we hear a knock. I know it’s Ethan, I can smell him in space too. He walks in with a more confused expression than Drake's. The midnight-blue silk of her gown rustled softly, the silver embroidery catching the light like frozen briars.
