Rajata just smiled with a shrug.
“Then, why didn’t you ‘shoot’ her?”
“Because she and I were of different ethnic groups, and of different religions,” replied Rajata. “Besides, Merina’s father was the director of BUMN or state-owned enterprises, I was terrified.”
