Lemonade Nina Pennacchi Novels & Stories

JADE Three weeks into the world’s worst babysitting arrangement, Nina decides we need brunch. Not because we deserve it. Because, in her words, “you’ve been insufferable and I refuse to hear about Derek Yamanaka’s cheekbones one more time without a mimosa in my hand.” Lauren comes too, quiet as always, camera bag slung over one shoulder because she never goes anywhere without it. We pick a place on the Upper East Side with white tablecloths and a hostess who looks like she’s never once had carbs.

Nina was not sure why but it seemed that most of the Lycans she had met were very kind to her. “Good morning, sir, what can I get for you today?” Nina asked as she opened up the order tab on the counter. “Good morning. I’ll just have a simple black coffee and some scones, please.” The man said with his deep voice. Nina quickly took his order and put it together. “Are you taking it to go or-“ “I’d be drinking it here.” “Okay, sir.” Nina quietly put his order up and when he paid, she smiled brightly and said: “Thank you for your patronage.”

Th Sophia reached for the bottle, serving each glass. She picked up a lemon. “Let me show you ladies a better way to enjoy your drink.” Sophia sucked hard on the lemon, gulping her drink along. Her face winced a little before returning to neutral. “Try it, Ladies,” she gave us the go-ahead. I picked up a lemon. Sucked hard on the juice before gulping down my alcohol. It burned right into my chest, but the feeling was great. Daisy followed suit, trying it out. Her face winced harder than that of Sophia.

We have all read the legends and herd the stories, but I would not mark her on our first meeting, nor would I mark her against her will, even my wolf had more control than that. ‘clearly’ I retorted “Aren’t you going to introduce us to your friend Maverick” Levi smiled turning his attention to Nina who was in the middle of stumping her cigarette to the ground. “I’m Nina” she bit her lip nervously reaching her hand out as she introduced herself. “Pretty name for a beautiful girl” he complemented taking her hand in his. “I’m Levi” he placed a kiss to the top of her hand, and I wanted to rip the two apart at the sight of the red blush that creeped from her neck to her cheeks.

Nina really was a scheming fox. She’d pretended to be kind, gotten close to him, used him, forced Angela to go to Leon’s place to shower, then took photos. Who knew what she’d done with those pictures afterward? … Crestwood Heights Angela, Leon, and Sunny were having dinner at the buffet restaurant. Leon asked Angela, “When can you free up two days? I want to take you somewhere that lets you feel happy within twenty minutes.” Angela looked at him in surprise. “You’re serious?”

So when Adrian wanted to find a maid, she didn't need a maid. Nina found a bench and sat down. The pink shirt and tan pants seemed to be surrounded by sunlight, she was like a weak tree, but it was that weakness that made her charming, cool, and moving. Five meters away, through the car window, Leonard sat in the car and looked at Nina. This woman seemed like he had seen her somewhere before, suddenly the mobile phone rang violently. The secretary called to say that the selection of child actors to act in commercials had reached the final round, inviting him to come and see.

One of the pack members yelled from the crowd. “Then we prove them wrong. With Luna as our alpha, we will not only have a strong, capable leader but someone who makes us untouchable. She is who Brax chose to lead us.” Nick looked over at me and gave me a warm smile. “I bow to Alpha Luna,” he declared, taking a knee.

Skylar's POV "Let's get this party started, hey?!" Nina pops open a bottle of champagne as the worker begins rolling the rack of dress in front of me. "Don't worry," she adds and picks up another bottle off the cart of drinks that was just hauled in. "I got some sparkling apple cider for the bride!" I don't even bother hiding my smile. She hands me a glass of the juice and I take a small sip before I set it down. Hmm, I might actually prefer this over a glass of champagne.

Her enthusiasm had been extinguished, and she left the kitchen quietly. --- Nina made some beef stew and prepared a glass of lemonade for Nash. Nash had been quite hot-tempered lately, so it was a good opportunity to cool him down. She brought a tray of the stew and lemonade to his study. Nash was sitting calmly on the sofa. He recognized her but didn't change his expression, still as impassive as ever, as if she owed him millions. Nina placed the tray on the table, patiently saying, "Mr. York, I made some beef stew and iced lemonade for you."

"Here. You're going to attend and do the ribbon cutting for the opening of the High Fly And Sky bar. They're going to pay a huge amount, even more than what the organizers of the Deluxe International Show are offering." Lea was furious, because Nina said such insulting things with a beaming face, as if she was offering to star in a box office film. "Nina, are you out of your mind? Are you really serious about making me attend a bar show like this instead of sitting on the bench on the Deluke International Show?" Lea said in a sharp tone. "I don't want to go!"
