The Pensive Gentleman

The Pensive Gentleman

I refocus on my laptop, blinking, embarrassed at being caught spacing out. "Yes, I am," I stutter, clearing my throat. My lecturer on the screen narrows her eyes, and I press my lips together, mouthing an apology even though she can't see me. She carries on with her lecture and I shove all my thoughts about my upcoming nuptials to the back of my mind.

AURORA STORM
Hi lovelies, I know this books appears complete but it’s not. There are 3 chapters left, and they would be uploaded as soon as I can get a hold of my editor. So sorry about the confusion and delay. x.

Thanks for this masterpiece, Au. I had a hard time letting go Christian and Hannah’s story, but I think Marciano and Angelica’s even harder to let go. I was sad for Angie thinking she might not have her own child and as a woman, that is the most devastating thing but then there’s the fvckng twist

All I Want Is My Lecturer.

All I Want Is My Lecturer.

I couldn't form out a word. "Come and have your seat, we have a lot to discuss. I can't sit down here and watch one of my students failing." He said to me. I felt my eyes forming out tears, and I quickly blinked and sniffed it back in. I gently began to find my way to the seat opposite the lecturer with my eyes still fixed on the floor and I could feel his eyes on me all my way over to him.

LOVE AND HONOR: The Mad Emperor (BL)

LOVE AND HONOR: The Mad Emperor (BL)

20AD, around early January, Palatine Hill.. It's raining... PITTER-PATTER 'Is it possible for the sky to mourn?' PITTER-PATTER Lepidus wondered, tilting his head toward the endless expanse of darkness above. Raindrops pelted down, drenching his black hair, tracing cold paths down his pale skin. Goosebumps popping up. He squinted against the downpour, his eyes swollen and red-rimmed from crying.

The Alpha's Omega Mistress

The Alpha's Omega Mistress

" The wolf whined softly, as if in agreement, and I continued to pet it, lost in my thoughts, feeling peace wash over me. I stayed outside all night and got little sleep. The next morning in the lecture hall, my eyes drooped with sleepiness, and the presenter's dull voice lulled me to sleep. She was discussing Luna's political functions. The presenter droned on, and my eyes glazed over. I tried to fight it, but my eyelids became too heavy. I felt the matron's stick on the back of my seat. "Get up, you sleepyhead.” I snapped awake, looking around in confusion, and heard some of the girls snicker.

Twist of Fate

Twist of Fate

I tend to concentrate on the lecture but it was getting hard to control my sleepy eyes, adding to that the lecture is also boring and puts me to sleep. Looking around, I saw students being very focused on this boring lecture, and I just wanted to get out of here as soon as possible. because each passing minute felt like ages. I glanced at my wrist watch, ten more minutes for the lecture to end. rubbing my eyes I tried to get rid of my sleepy eyes. At this point I regret not sleeping well last night. As my mind mentioned last night, my lips curved into small silly smiles.

it's a love story or sure, but the way she is explaining every emotion of the love between Rishi Anu and Anbu is what makes this book unique. while reading it I felt like I'm back to my clg days, so relatable and connecting. but again the curiosity to know the suspense is killing me. update soon.

Revenge Of my Ex- Mother In Law

Revenge Of my Ex- Mother In Law

The lecture on the other hand, was nowhere in sight, which did not surprise me in the slightest. I chose a seat near the window, close enough to feel the morning breeze which brushed against my skin…by the way. I placed my bag on the desk, pulling out a new notebook to rest my palms flat on its cool surface. I stared out the window briefly, watching students cross the courtyard below, laughing, arguing, and talking. Behind me, soft laughter broke the silence. It came from a group of girls seated at the backseat, their voices in hushed tone. I didn't turn around to look at them, because I didn't need to, so stayed seated with my eyes on the board.

NINE MONTH WITH MY STEPBROTHER

NINE MONTH WITH MY STEPBROTHER

Chapter 27 “Well get your ass moving then, the class won't wait for us," Amber snapped her out of her reverie and she moved her feet into the class. Just as they settle down in their seat, the lecturer walked in and without wasting time, he begin to discuss the topic for the day. Jesse listened attentively and jot down important notes but all through the lecture, she could feel eyes on her. She tried to ignore the feeling for as long as she could but the niggling feeling that someone is watching her made the hair on her neck stand. Jesse took a quick sweep of everyone until her gaze stopped on Nathan's prying ones.

Alpha Maddox Is My Stalker

Alpha Maddox Is My Stalker

Especially not you. My breathing turned heavier. I was staring at the screen too hard that my vision got blurred, and all I could see was his body pressed against mine. As soon as the lecture ended, I threw my things in my bag and stormed out of the classroom. My chest heaved with uneven breathing as I sucked in huge gulps of fresh air. The rest of the lectures were no less of a torture. His words, his voice…deep and possessive…kept reeling in my mind all day long like a broken record.

My Off-limits Professor... But He's Mine (MM Romance)

My Off-limits Professor... But He's Mine (MM Romance)

ADRIAN'S POV The fluorescent lights of the lecture hall hum with a low, headache-inducing buzz, but Adrian barely hears it over the drone of his own voice. He is dissecting the themes of repression in The Picture of Dorian Gray, but his mind is miles away, roaming the rows of tiered seating with a predatory focus. His eyes skip over the bowed heads of the students, the glowing laptop screens, the hands scribbling notes, searching for one specific face. The third row, center seat. Empty. A hollow void in the sea of bodies.

Promised to The Don

Promised to The Don

Riley POV My laptop screen glows softly in front of me, the lecturer’s voice echoing through my headphones while a slideshow about spatial harmony moves slowly from one slide to the next. Normally I would be taking notes, sketching small ideas in the margins of my notebook the way I always do, but today my attention keeps drifting to the open window beside my desk. A cool breeze slips into the room and carries the distant sounds of the estate voices, the faint hum of cars passing the gates, birds somewhere in the trees.

Frequently Asked Questions

I found the conclusion satisfying on an emotional level, but there were definitely loose threads I would've liked tied up more neatly. That final scene with the two characters looking at the same sunset... it felt right for their journey, which was always more about internal reconciliation than external fireworks. The writer nailed the bittersweet, quiet hopefulness they'd been building towards.

That said, I know some folks were frustrated with the subplot about the sister's debt just vanishing. It's a valid criticism. For me, the core relationship arc resolved perfectly, and the book's strength was its focus on the quiet moments of understanding, not the big, plotty drama. If you came for a dramatic, neatly-wrapped bow on every single story element, you might leave a little wanting. But if the central question is whether their fragile connection found solid ground, the answer is a resounding yes.
