Xantiago calls through the room as they all start moaning at who they would like to be rejected so they might bid on those leaving the games. When I catch Hunter looking at me, his expression is quite peculiar. “I thought you weren’t playing favourites?” he asks through the link with his gruff voice. “I’m not, but this isn’t to the death, I need these games to work, besides round two is where the fun really begins,” I reply narrowing my eyes as he just nods, not looking convinced, turning back to the screen. Jennifer appears once more, adding into the mix as the girls, tired, bloody and covered in sweat, fight for their lives.

Hector declared the occasion open after which Kyle read the rules of engagement while stealing glances at Adina. Two men in Black robes walked into the ring like a stage that stood in the middle of the hall. They had with them weapons and ammunition that could aid them in winning the fight. "Are they to wrestle to death?" Sophia asked yulu who came in while Kyle read the rules of engagement. "They are not to kill each other but one has to submit to the other for the game to end," yulu replied. The hunger game has been a ceremonial activity of the wolf clan it was done yearly to determine the strength of the pack.

"I'm coming for what's mine." His eyes narrowed, his stance shifting slightly, but he remained silent. He wouldn't show it, but I knew my words had hit home. I turned back to my pack, my blood humming with anticipation. Tonight wasn't the night for the final showdown. No, this was just the beginning. And as the moon hung ominously overhead, marking the start of what promised to be a long and brutal war, I felt a wild, savage thrill surge through me. Let the games begin.

A few minutes later an instruction was passed, everyone was told to switch off their phones, the lights were deemed, the projector screen was turned on and the title of the movie was displayed a few minutes after the production house and the character's name had been displayed. Ruth shook her head and leaned into her seat, she couldn't believe Robert brought her all the way here to watch 365 days. She mostly kept to the city, but she loved the sights of the colourful lights and brightly decorated stores that stood out in the gloom of the night. “What are you hungry for?” “Anything.” She answered, distracted by the teenage girls playing hopscotch in front of a four-storey building. “Anything.” He repeated. “Do you come here often?” "Not recently, but I used to." Logan clicked the remote, and suddenly, a transparent, glowing orb appeared in the middle of the city. It looked almost like something from an anime or a sci-fi film, as if a force field had enclosed the entire city. Inside the orb, images began to form—buildings, shops, schools, streets. The city's history slowly unfolded in front of their eyes. First, thirty years ago, then twenty years ago, ten years ago, and finally, present-day Ashenford. The city's rapid development played out before them, evoking memories of the past and leaving everyone in awe.

“Greggory! I want all my men inside” “Alpha, we can’t leave you” “Go now!” Greggory bowed and organized the men to move back into the pack’s borders. Arachne laughed, the ring sounding through the trees an omen of misery and desolation. "I see you finally became the Alpha you wanted to become. If you’re sure this is what you want to do, then I’d like to announce-" she breathed. "The games have begun."

>Initiate Defense Protocol: Lullaby. The game was indeed not over. It was just beginning. And I was finally ready to play.

I’m shocked, scared, and unable to figure out why he looked so familiar.
