He said and I raised a brow at him. “You haven’t fought one before so this is necessary, Levi. It won’t be easy killing One.” I told him seriously and he smirked. “Nah.” He waved me off. “I don’t think it will be that difficult killing what is already dead…” ** Levi was confident— probably too confident but then maybe it was for his own good. One needed such resolve in such a dire period of fighting demons and real-life zombies. We were headed towards the Palace gates now— the gates were fallen so there was easy access for anyone.

Eli tried to throw himself forward to shield me, but Mom held him back with a firm grip, saying, "He needs to learn his lesson! He needs to understand what things he can and cannot say!" I overheard Mom and Dad talking in the kitchen the following day after the incident. Mom said through her tears, "He only has nine years left…" "I know," Dad said hoarsely." "J-Just nine years left…" It was only then that I understood that Eli was really going to die. It turned out that the numbers hovering above his head, unseen by anyone else, were the countdown to his lifespan. In the living room, Mom's and Dad's eyes were bloodshot as they carefully escorted Eli back to his bedroom.

Rather, I felt something sharp and hot crash against my side, sending me to the ground. My eyesight fogged, and I heard my father's agonized words. "Alara!": Dante's arrogant look was the last thing I noticed before the planet turned dark. " Game over." Levi's voice sliced over the tight air like a razor, his chest rising and sinking with the weight of the moment. "Don't you dare touch her." He stood in front of me, his injured hand clutching his side, yet he looked to be ablaze. My fingers quivering, I grabbed for him automatically trying to settle his shivering body. Levi—no, you're wounded. You must—'"

He asked, placing his hand supportively on my shoulder. I didn't hesitate. I could feel everyone's disapproving gazes on me. They blamed me for their beloved Beta's death. My gaze shifted to where Levi stood holding his mother in his arms. His two brothers' arms encircled the two of them. When Lev's mother learned that her mate had died to save me, she didn't even flinch at the news. However, now, here at the funeral, she seemed almost relieved, as if she was proud of what he had done.

Ly said trying to see if he could confuse his brother to drop his sword. "That will be the last thing I will do, leaving the sword. I rather die then leaving the sword I worked so much hard for many ancient years ago". "So you want to die and live me all alone? Is that your plan Levi well sorry to say that is not happening this time". Ly said and he did something unexpectedly to Levi. Levi holding his throat and started choking himself. Soon he passed out. The Hybrid king with a swift of his hand Levi floated and he place the pass out figure across his horse.

Levi asks, his brow rising on his face as he looks at me in question. My laughter dies instantly at Levi’s question, my eyes narrowing slightly as I look at him. “Nothing is funny Levi! Absolutely NOTHING!!” My chest heaves with each word that I speak, my voice rising to hysterical levels as I stare at Levi in disbelief. “We are standing in the middle of a bloody battlefield that ended in your death and you are more concerned with who is responsible for your death instead of focusing on the fact that your death could be right around the corner. “

They all turned towards the voice and Levi sighed when he saw his brothers, marching towards him. “Listen, I just…" “Father's heart is failing, Levi. He was hospitalized the day you left and he told us not to tell you anything because he knew you were focused on saving Kiara but he's dying now, the doctor said he will not survive and he wants to see you" • Kiara and Zane were immediately woken up by the sound of a faint baby cry. “Zane…" She murmured as she tried to get up but he immediately stopped her.

“So your grand solution is for me to stay here? With the person the witch cursed? With Fiona and Liam breathing down my neck? And only the Goddess knows if the witch has influenced them or not.” He tried to speak, but I wasn’t done. “And let’s not forget Sarah,” I snapped. “You think she’ll just sit back and watch me live under the same roof with her precious daughter and the power she’s clawing to keep?” Levi’s expression changed. His voice dropped. “Sarah’s dead.” The words hung there, heavy, unnatural. I froze. “What?” He nodded. “She was found dead months ago. And no, it wasn’t Alexander who killed her.”

he asked, his eyes searching mine for understanding, longing for a response before he continued. My heart ached at his plea, and I nodded, my voice filled with empathy and sorrow. "What is it, my love? Please, tell me." Levi's gaze dropped for a moment, collecting his thoughts, before he met my eyes once again. His voice carried a mixture of confusion and anguish. "She was having her chemotherapy, and it was looking like she was getting better, so what went wrong, Jasmine?" The question hung heavy in the air, a painful reminder of the unpredictable nature of life's challenges. Levi's voice cracked with the weight of his confusion, and I could see the torment etched upon his face.

Levi nodded his head, “Did you tell Faith?” He asked Mateo.
