“I’m hungry.” Of course he is. I rub my eyes, trying to orient myself. The last thing I remember is adding the final touches to the sky in my painting, determined to get the exact shade of blue I wanted. My gaze drifts to the massive canvas propped against the far wall, and despite my exhaustion, I feel a rush of excitement course through me. It’s done. Finally, after weeks of work, my final piece is complete. The painting shows us on horseback, exactly as we were that day at the ranch. Arthur sits tall on Thunder, one arm around Miles, who points excitedly toward a ridge in the distance.

He thought that it's inconvenient to bring the horse to the mansion where he lives at that time.

There was Sugarplum, a beautiful chestnut mare with a white blaze on her forehead, Noir, a sleek black stallion with a star-shaped marking on his nose, a proud Arabian named Zephyr, a gentle giant of a Shire horse named Thunder, and several others, each with their unique markings and personalities.

She bent over to check and found a framed water colour which captured the spirit of a horse and it's fluid speed. Against the background of High-views capped mountains, a magnificent roan stallion raced across a verdant valley; head up, mane blowing in the wind, mighty hind quarters bunched for next bounding leap, the animal epitomised independence, achievement and boldness. She recognised the painting almost immediately. it was the painting she lost to an higher bidder in an auction in Miami. "So it was one of the Kincades who bought this and it later ended up in the basement" She said to herself.
