He flung me inside and pointed at the electrical socket, then at the lamp that had been packaged on the table, burnt and black. “I knew you would need evidence.” “You're lying,” I shook my head as I stared at the lamp, “you're lying to me.” “One thing about perpetual liars is they think everyone is like them. The evidence is right there and you still don't believe it,” Nikolai shook his head, “that only points at your ability to fake evidence.”

She was actually putting her time to good use, digging into the history of shifters and legends that had sprung from this area. Mila stared at Liam for a moment before she replied, “the ancient book about the curse.” “There is no such book, Mila,” Liam said in a voice that sounded a little disappointed. He felt that if Mila wanted to find such a book, he would not find it in this place.

Liam read the title of the book as he kept watching me. “I FELL For THE Dark FAE LORD," Liam read the content, and I gasped in shock when he showed me the front cover. That was indeed the title of the book but I didn't know. “ I didn't know you were into romance books," Liam said, the obvious, and I wish the ground swallowed me up right now. Blood drained from my face when Liam suddenly pushed my back against the row of shelves. “I don't read those. I picked that without looking at the book." The words rushed out of my lips, my heart skipping a beat.

Emilia asked. Liam's expression was serious. "It's a book about the history of the werewolf world," Liam said. "And I think I found something important." Emilia's curiosity was piqued. She got up and walked over to Liam, peering over his shoulder as he read from the book. As Liam read, Emilia's eyes widened in shock. What she was hearing was impossible. "No, that can't be true," Emilia said, her voice barely above a whisper.

He thought he was quite intelligent. "I'm afraid I don't follow." He said as she went back to the front desk. "Lily's book is based on the role-playing game Dungeons and Dragons." Her eyes sparkled again. "Just like so many others, she's given us a world to escape to. A heroine tasked to kill a dark sorcerer when, in reality..." the woman stopped, "I can't spoil it for you! You'll just have to read it." She said as she rang him up. Was this how everyone reacted to Lily's book?

“Can you not read the title?” I looked at the cover of the book. But I knew that was not the title for I could see the make-shift cover, hiding it. I did that too. “Yes, but I am asking about the real title.” “You have good eyes.” She took off the make shift cover, and now I could read the real name of the book. It was “One Hundred Ways To Kill A Liar.” And I was lying to her. “It is a forbidden book, so don’t tell.” What she said was more of a command or a warning.

“Pretty please, brother mine?” Snorting, Liam returned his gaze to his book. “No.” “Come on, Li!” Jules moved closer. “What are you reading? I didn’t know you read.” He earned an elbow to his side for his teasing. Was Liam blushing? “Are you blushing? What is this book?” Jules grabbed the book and looked at the cover before Liam could stop him. He laughed when he saw the title. “The Peerage of the Pelugian High Society?”

“This world is nothing but liars.” Dante slid his arm around her waist, his lips brushing her hair. “Then let’s be the best liars of them all.” Their eyes lingered on their daughter, the wolf and his queen watching their heir sleep, their reign carved in blood, their future balanced on lies. For now, it was enough.

" Joe asked from behind her. "It's a birthmark borne by children who were touched by a goddess from another realm," She said casually. "Wait, what?" Kurt asked in disbelief. "Yeah, I read about it in a book," She said. "What book?" Joe asked. Lydia stopped walking and took off her backpack. She opened it and took out a large book and handed it to Joe. "This book..." She said. The book was large and on the cover, it had the word "TROLEYADIA" on it in large font.
