We get to the bottom of the stairs and Lexi stops Jesse. Lexi places a hand on Jesse’s arm to get him to stop sniffing in all different directions. “ Jesse, are you alright?” she asks. “ Do you smell that?” Jesse asked. “ Smell what? What does it smell like?” Lexi asked. Jesse smiles “ Like lemons and red hots.” “ Jesse, I need you to look at me.” Lexi said. Jesse turned around and focused on Lexi like she asked.
