He opened his mouth, but she cut him off before he could say anything. “So like I said, thanks for the offer, but no thanks. You’re interrupting a girls’ day out with my friend whom I haven’t seen all week. You can leave us alone now, thank you.”
Excitement rippled through me to see her being so assertive. I knew she had it in her. I almost started applauding, but I thought better of it.
Hollier left grudgingly, but he walked away from us, shaking his head and muttering under his breath. Gracie shot me a wide, happy smile. “I did it.”
