Minutes later, we pulled into a place that looked like it had been forgotten by the world. A depleted gas station. Broken pumps. Flickering lights.

Since the nearby gas stations had already been thoroughly swept clean by him, he headed straight to Orlaspen City and began his search there. The moment his spatial perception activated, everything within a radius of over 300 square kilometers unfolded in his mind—survivors, supermarkets, gas stations—everything was clearly mapped. Burning rubber, I stare at her in the rearview mirror and vow to hunt her down before she takes another living person's soul from them. The meter had stopped reading long seconds before she withdrew the nuzzle and effected payment. She had a nervous laugh when she said, "This reminds me of a movie I've seen. It's strange seeing a handsome man push his car." A man like you, she meant to say. Liam was too tired to smile back. Luckily, they ran a gadget shop nearby and he bought a charger. He was cruising down the road as his phone battery crawled into added life.
