Andrew I stepped into the small empty circle of her tiny apartment, the size of one-fourth of my bathroom, and looked around. The place, aside from the cramped-up space, looked decent enough. She had a tiny bed, a reading table with books piled on it, a tiny wardrobe, a door leading to a tiny kitchen, another door leading to what I believe should be a tiny restroom. Yes. Everything was tiny. I turned and looked at her still leaning on the door, taking in deep, calming breaths.

(ALEXA'S POV) I sat next to Luke in the small apartment. When I moved in with Luke, I had chosen this apartment specifically for its size. I wanted something intimate, a space where we couldn't ignore each other. Now, sitting here felt suffocating. "Wow, this place is so small," the woman who claimed was Chloe announced, her eyes sweeping over the room with clear disapproval. "Yes, really small," Rachel chimed in. "It only has one bedroom. Iris can't even find a room."

It would be a miracle if we do not rip each other’s heads off within the first day of staying here. “Get in, Mason,” Braden orders. “We must dump this dude far, far away from here.” Axel, Elara and I shuffle inside, already crowding the living room with our babies. I move into the bedroom and discover it is even tinier than it looks from the outside, with barely enough room for a bed. Great. “Damn, it’s small,” Elara walks up behind me and looks over my shoulder. “Yeah,” I chuckle nervously. “You should take it.”

He winked as he looked around my tiny apartment. “It’s rent-controlled and only six hundred fifty a month. So don’t knock it.” I grumbled, folding my arms. “Damn, that is a deal, but…this is like eighty square feet, and I don’t see a door to a bathroom. You’re paying over eight bucks a square foot.” He shook his head. “Well, the bathroom is in the hall. It’s the door next to this.” I explained.

“This isn't a mansion. It’s just a large house.” ​“How much space is in this place?” ​“I’m not sure, I think Leo mentioned it was around six thousand square feet.” ​Mira cocked an eyebrow. “Mansion.” ​“Whatever. There isn’t even a pool.” ​“No, but there’s a community pool. I passed it on my way through the gates.”

"Well, okay." Nathan then followed the owner inside. The building, which was no more than three square meters, looked simple and messy. Some dirty clothes were lying where they shouldn't be. And Nathan needed to stand on tiptoe to avoid stepping on the shorts that were somehow lying on the floor. He sighed in annoyance. "How can you stand all these dirty clothes?"

I ask because nothing else comes to mind and I need to fill the silence. The minute he nods his head in acceptance I regret the offer. I didn't think before speaking again. He's basically seen the place. Besides a small bathroom and the tiny bedroom that barely fits a bed and dresser, the next biggest thing in the apartment is the walk-in closet. It's a wonderful closet.

Everything needed a mile of space between it and everything else in the room. Sure, Ana knew she wasn’t a small person, but if it took you a minute to walk from one piece of furniture to the next, it was a waste of space. Especially since she was the only one using the apartment. It was true. They did not set the sitting room space up for comfortable or intimate conversation. Not that she’d have anyone there to converse amicably with as far as she knew.

“So I fell short on the funds? Do you need to go out of your way to point that out? After all the years I’ve cared for you, must you get upset over a bit of money? “You’re nothing like your sister. You are a thankless brat.” Sitting next to me, Tania glanced at my phone before looking up and uttering, “Oh, it is just four hundred dollars, Susan.” Susan let out a strained chuckle in embarrassment. “My eyesight isn’t what it used to be. I must have missed a zero.” She glared at me. “Why didn’t you say something sooner?” Susan reluctantly transferred me the rest of the funds, her voice stiff when she said, “There you go. You have the money. Now, get us a decent spread. Don’t keep everybody wait

Zack was certain they were cussing in their minds. “Zack Cassidy,” Stanley said. “Yeah, I’m listening,” Zack answered. “Which is my smallest house?” Stanley asked. “The smallest one would be either of the two villas with a view of the ocean. Apart from those, you also have a unit with a hundred square meters in a building you bought in Waterfront Court,” Zack answered. “These are all too big. And the locations are too good,” Stanley said. “Well… There aren’t any other options.” Zack shook his head.
