Connor and Maya, we’re sitting in the dining room eating lunch. They had been on the night shift for the past 2 weeks on a stakeout watching a local vampire coven who had been rumored to have kidnapped several werewolves in the community. Lena and the other two jumped and cried out. “Hey, what are you doing?” Kalen growled at them and stepped towards them as if he was going to throw them in, too. “The lycan king will hear about this,” one luna yelled as they ran from him.

Seeing that he was diving toward the building where Azura was, I didn’t hesitate to go after him. I saw Azura and the others had escaped the rubble, as they made their way outside to watch what was happening. It wasn’t just them, as many humans were also seeing what was going on. Rage caught the lion in its fins and tore it in half violently while it was in the air! It was very eye-catching! Remember that the Lion was a disaster-ranked beast as well! So Rage easily dispatching it demonstrated the strength of his new evolution. The lake turned colourful from the lion's blood, which was shed in various colours. All of the other monsters who had plans to harm Rage were stunned. This multicoloured lion wasn't the only one who wanted to profit from the evolution of rage on such a vast dungeon floor. Some intelligent monster squinted at the human near the lake, speculating whether the human had used Rage evolution to entice them.

Silence was when the most interesting things happened. The abandoned wing welcomed me with a sigh of stale air and dust. No torches burned here. No guards patrolled. Moonlight streamed through broken panes of stained glass, painting the floor in fractured blues and reds. I paused at the first mural. Dragons. Not the twisted, fire-breathing monsters from the Purge stories, but creatures of impossible grace—their wings spread wide enough to eclipse suns, their claws curled gently around mountain peaks. One coiled protectively around a wolf pup, its massive head bent low as if whispering secrets.
