She ordered short ribs, four-cheese macaroni, turnip and collard greens, candied yams, blueberry cornbread, honey cornbread, the works. The smell alone was enough to make my stomach growl. The guy behind the counter laughed when he saw how much food I was carrying. “Having a party tonight?”
