Sunk into the floor of a white marble platform with matching marble stairs leading up to a huge round tub that could fit two people, on a shelf sat two trays at the end of each self, it had three candles two lavender and in the middle of them was a white candle, in the middle of the tray of aroma candles were lavender incense sticks and a holder. In between the shower and tub was a large cabinet filled with Lavender, white and black bath towels, hanging on the hooks by the door were two bathrobes one in lavender and one in black. After exiting the wing, the three of us went back down to where the party was taking place. When we got down there the party was in full swing. We grabbed some drin

Lisa waited for xen's footsteps to end and then she swallowed and breathed out safely. Lisa studied the room for almost five minutes. She sat on the massive bed that was well decorated like a queens bed. The bed felt softer than her bed that she had left in her cabin. She opened the window, for once she thought that she could get out through the window but she couldn't. The window had strong metal bars. She saw the three brothers standing in a circle, perhaps they were discussing something about her. The older ones Kai and Kane moved to the forest when Xen stared at the window and then went inside of the mansion, probably she was going to her room. Lisa cleared her throat and pushed her hair

The delicate balance of secrecy hung in the air, and my human mate's unwitting presence threatened it all. Liam's door loomed ahead, and there she stood—my mate. In her hands, a mysterious box, its secrets concealed within. I observed from the shadows, torn between loyalty to my mate and vigilance over Liam. The exchange unfolded—the box passed from my mate's grasp to Liam's. His face, etched with sorrow, betrayed the weight of its contents. My mate turned away, her gaze lingering on the beetle parked nearby. She climbed in, the engine purring to life, and watched as Liam retreated into the house.

She felt alive, like an eagle looking imperiously at the flightless creatures below her. The ground got closer and closer but the falling young woman only screamed louder, the sound drowned by the rush of the air against her ears. She reoriented herself so that she faced straight down like she was about to take a dive into the tarred road below. With only a few meters between her and the ground, Lisa unfurled her majestic black wings and made a sharp curve so that her fall turned into speedy flight, parallel to the ground. She shot past the cars in the parking lot so fast that her wind stream triggered their alarms. She gained altitude until the city was below her, the bustling humans and ca

If his service record had not been too valuable for North Ridge to discard at once, the result would have been worse. To Ethan, it still felt too light. What he had truly lost was not rank or authority. Liam came up the steps and handed him a folder. "We found her," he said quietly. "Ava's location." Ethan's breath stopped. Liam's expression was complicated. "She is in Arlington, inside DARPA's system. Julian Hayes is with her. Think carefully before you go. This time, you are going to apologize, not order her home." Ethan looked down at the address in the file.

Lisa grabbed her jacket and walked out the door. She found Margaret sitting in her car in the cottage driveway. The engine was off. The lights were dim. Margaret was staring straight ahead, her hands resting on the steering wheel, her face illuminated by the pale glow of the moon. Lisa approached slowly, her footsteps soft against the gravel. Margaret didn't turn. She knew Lisa was there. "Margaret?" Lisa's voice was gentle. "Are you okay?" Margaret let out a shaky breath. "I thought I could do it. I thought I could pretend everything was fine."

I turn around to see Aphrodite, Thanos, and Dimitri with Lisa behind him. Well, this is definitely embarrassing. "Well, that's one way to keep them occupied." Thanos laughs out. "That's one funky chicken wing you got there." Aphrodite chuckles as she flaps her elbow like a chicken wing. "She sounds like a screeching walrus." Lisa has the nerve to say. "Your hair looks like Barney threw up on it." I sass back with a smug look. Lisa has an irritated look in her eyes. She starts charging at me, so I sidestep her. She lunges for me again and again I sidestep her. Her irritation has now escalated to a blazing rage.

And I’m not really proud of what I did. I know I’m not making sense right now, but soon you would know what I am talking about. I would like to make up for everything. Tonight. This town has a garden, overlooking a lake that has swans in the day… and fireflies at night. I think you know what garden I am talking about. Go there, Alice. Now, as soon as you get this note. Give me a chance to make up for what I did… for getting in the way… for being so selfish.

(Winona) Lisa stares out the window, chewing on the corner of her nail—something she only does when she’s about two seconds away from a full-on meltdown. The highway stretches out ahead, I can’t stop thinking about Logan Bennett. Lance’s twin. A walking, talking ghost we never knew existed. I can only imagine how rocked Lisa must feel. I grip the steering wheel. “You good?” Lisa lets out a short laugh, but it’s hollow. “Define ‘good.’ Because if it means questioning my entire reality while also wanting to throw myself into traffic, then yeah. I’m fucking great.”
