Comeback Of The Rejected Lycan

Comeback Of The Rejected Lycan

My eyes were still closed though. Then Julius went ahead to encourage me to bring my characters to life by giving them unique personalities and motivations, and to create a world that was vivid and immersive. I delved deeper into the intricacies of storytelling, and profoundly into my thoughts. Julius introduced me to the power of symbolism and metaphor. She explained how these literary devices could add depth and layers of meaning to a story and therefore would certainly be helpful when it comes to manipulating magic through writing as well. Imagining it like that, I also imagined my readers being able to interpret and connect on a deeper level but at the same time, being the author of my o

Marked by Fire & Fang

Marked by Fire & Fang

Link The woods were still, but it wasn’t the good kind. It was the calm before a killing. Every pine and cedar held their breath like they knew something was wrong. I shifted into my wolf and pushed deeper into the dark. Ashes still stained the ground where the ferals had fallen. Nothing lingered—not a trace of their stink or their chaos. But I found something worse. Symbols. Carved into trees. Stones. One burned into the side of a dead fox, its eyes missing.

The Mafia's Klepto Bride

The Mafia's Klepto Bride

Luca urged, his voice low and encouraging as his eyes flashed again. "Well, the girl in the center represents the struggle to find hope in desperation," I began, pointing at the structure of a little girl with fear in her face. It was quite an interesting piece. She was in the darkness and she seemed utterly scared but she didn't bother to move. The artist hadn't bothered depicting her moving or running away, she had accepted the darkness. Luca's eyes narrowed, his gaze intensifying. "And the ravens surrounding her?" "Symbolize the darkness, the shadows that haunt her," I replied, my eyes darting to the depictions of the ravens flying about the little girl.

My Hatred, My Soulmate

My Hatred, My Soulmate

The question bounces around my skull like a pinball, refusing to settle into any sort of coherent answer. In Literature class, Mrs. Hawthorne drones on about symbolism in Gothic novels while I stare blankly at my open textbook, the words swimming together into meaningless black marks on white pages. My mind is a thousand miles away, lost in the labyrinth of my own doubts and fears. Luna, sitting to my right, notices my obvious distraction. From time to time, she tries to bring me back to the present by throwing sarcastic comments my way—little verbal nudges designed to anchor me in reality.

INTO THE WILDERNESS: The Journey

INTO THE WILDERNESS: The Journey

The men's souls and the valley were both keened and mewled by the bitter north wind. The clouds dissipated. Under the spooky moon, their spears gleamed wickedly. Its phantom flame poured ribbons of chrysalis-silver light over the men's raised shields. The creatures swarmed and swung beneath them like corn in a field, but there seemed to be more than a thousand bushels of them. In defiance, Antigone held the proud pennant aloft. It was a symbol of hopes, lives, and salvation.

Alpha Knight's Cursed Mate

Alpha Knight's Cursed Mate

Califf said, which everyone agreed on. I inhaled deeply as the fog suddenly appeared and the temperature dropped. From the beautiful, magical forest, the fog swallowed it into the darkness filled with uncertainly and dark creatures. The hair at the back of my neck stood as I felt someone was watching us, ready to attack and tear us apart. We continued walking through the woods. Above us were fireflies. “It’s beautiful out here if Cyrius isn’t about to end our world.” Knight looked up. “Fireflies. Some would say fireflies are a symbol of hope and guidance. It reminds us in our darkest moments, there is a light.” It was enlightening coming from Alpha Frye.

The Lone Wolf

The Lone Wolf

“Let’s try it. We’ll look at the symbols individually, see if there’s a pattern.” They all crouched around the door, studying the carvings. One symbol caught Cayla’s attention. It was a jagged line cutting through a circle. It almost seemed like lightning. She pointed to it. “What about this one? It looks like a lightning bolt cutting through something. Could it symbolize power or illumination?” The warrior leaned in, inspecting it closely. “It could also be a storm or something we cannot harness. The circle may represent the world, and the lightning the forces of nature. It could be talking about something powerful, perhaps an elemental force.”

She flipped the pages and instead of reading, we looked for the symbols and we copied all of them down. There was a wave. A bird. A knife. A flame. A heart. What looked like two spikes going down. A crown. A flower petal. Those symbols were repeated throughout the book. ”A bird,” Lydia said and flipped to the first page we had seen the bird symbol. ”It reads something about serenity,” ”Meaning?” I said with a raised brow. ”Let’s see,” Lydia skimmed over the text before going back and reading it again, trying to make sense of what little information could be read.
