The hot water poured down on me, washing away all the dirt and leaving a sense of freshness I craved after a long run.
“What are we going to do?” Liana asks, her anxiety bleeding through me.
“About what?” I asked, acting dumb although I knew exactly what she was talking about, I just didn’t want him as a topic of conversation now.
“You know, our mate?” Liana asked softly, and I cringe at the word she used to describe Evan.
“He is NOT our mate, Liana. Not anymore.” I say sternly.
“I can still feel it. I can still feel our bond,” she says, making me groan, irritated.
