Her sharp voice rang out. Aquilo narrowed his eyes and did not continue to fall for her tricks. “Are you feeling guilty?” Luna panicked. “I’m not! I just—” “I can guarantee that the test results will be authentic and that no one will lie. But if you’re the liar, the Lovehart family will not tolerate you either. Luna, I am not that gullible.” His words were as cultured and refined as ever, but there was a faint warning tone to them. Aquilo was simple-minded. He hated injustice.

The Mafia's Forced Bride

The Mafia's Forced Bride

Julesi seduced my father
The world will only ever see him as the Butcher’s Son. “You cannot do this,” I say, my voice shaking with rage. “They are trying to be better. They deserve the chance to choose what they reveal, not have it forced on them for your idea of justice.” “Justice does not care if people are comfortable,” she says, sharp and unyielding. “It does not care if they have grown. It cares that every victim of their families’ crimes gets to see the truth. You of all people should understand that. How many people suffered because Lorenzo was allowed to hide his secrets? How many died because the Tribunal operated in the dark? No more secrets. No more lies. Not even the small, kind ones.”

Love by Lottery

Grandma had pointed at her and screamed, calling her a self-righteous lunatic. "You either love a child, or you don’t. Why are you hiding behind this lottery nonsense? If you don’t want Silas Vale, I’ll take him back to the countryside right now. Otherwise, throw away that damned lottery box and love both children together!" Mom had sneered back coldly. "How I love my children is none of your business. I love both of them, of course. But there will always be bias. That can’t be controlled. "That’s exactly why I bought the lottery box to truly be fair. If they want something, they rely on their own luck. Their father and I won’t interfere. If he can’t draw the long stick, that just means he’s

Loving Him Is Wrong

Fair Brittgina from big natebig nate ginabig nate and gina
Gina stood before her father as she looked at him with disbelief. Many thoughts whirled in her head and she wondered if she heard him wrongly, but then, she knew what she heard. She drew in deep breath in a bid to control the rage building up inside of her. “I won't be a part of any arranged marriage plans or whatsoever. I am a human with full rights and I have the rights to freedom of choice.” Gina stated calmly. Her father, Mr Anthony Thompson sighed heavily. “Don't be selfish, Gina. Stop thinking about yourself alone. Think about our family too. You have to do this to save our family business.” Anthony said with his features tightened in a frown.

Medal in Hand: A Stand for Justice

Dreamreaderstepsister punished
Otherwise, don't blame me for what happens next. Their laughter cut straight into me, sharp and merciless. All I felt was utter humiliation and pain. I sat alone outside the courthouse, consumed by a despair I had never known before. Weren't courts meant to stand for fairness and justice? Why had they become a sanctuary for the powerful? Tears streamed down my cheeks, blurring my vision. All I wanted was justice. Why was it so impossibly hard? As I bent forward, the medals slipped from my pocket. They clattered against the stone steps before tumbling all the way down.

The Soulbound: Alpha's Runaway Luna

Zeebullied by my alpha stepbrotherbullied by my stepbrothersmy alpha stepbrother is my bully
Lobo's own expression was a confusing mix of worry and concern. Zeeb licked his cracked lips and stammered, "Th-the wounds... I..." He trailed off, his voice barely a whisper. The weight of the accusation, the anger in my voice, and the silent judgment from the crowd seemed to be suffocating him. His eyes darted back and forth between mine and his father's. His eyes seemed to be silently pleading for his dad to intervene, to do something to help him or bail him out of the situation he had found himself in. Mr Lobo took a tiny step forward, but as his eyes met mine, he saw the warning in them and immediately stepped back.

he asks, his expression betrayed and hurt. “I didn't do anything…” I cry, backing even further away, guilt weighing my whole body down, making my whole body weak as my legs give out from underneath me. I crumble to the floor. I didn't do anything. “Why did you do it, Lobo?” he repeats, taking the organs and placing them awkwardly on his back. His voice cracks with emotion as he wipes a tear from his face. “I didn't do anything,” I whisper. “You did something wrong, love. I can't let you go without paying for it.” His expression is no longer betrayed but angry.

Beingthegoddes i told him i missed him he said nothing
I am giving him false hope of us. I know we could never go back and I could never become part of his life anymore. Not when I have left him in past alone. It was a very beautiful view of the city from the rooftop where Sabestine had booked the table for us. I looked at the view, mesmerizing it within myself. It somehow helped me to calm down. He was still looking at me, when I turned to the table. I decided to lighten the environment, “Mr. Well known personality. You are very famous, hmm” I said sarcastically.

Oni Kehindeman being freed from chains
I sentenced a man unjustly and karma kept knocking into my life. All I wanted now was a chance to love John without criticism on his ex-convict years. I wanted to give him new memories to replace the bad ones I placed in his childhood. I wanted to be a brother and a friend to him. I recalled my mother's predicament and grunted. I had to survive to see those I cared about so much. I struggled to lift my body from the ground and failed. My head wasn't only throbbing in pain, it was conflicted with different comprehensions.

This book is great! I have only read the first 4 chapters but I can tell that the coins that I'll probably spend reading this will be worth it! I'll continue reading this for I know I'll learn a lot of things from the writer.
