They yanked Maya over the railing, and she was lost in the crowd. All I could hear were her screams of terror.

“We need to move, Alpha. Now.” Laura’s growl echoed through the forest like distant thunder. “You won’t get away this time, Carlos!” Carlos met her gaze, a cold smirk crossing his face. “You’re still blinded by rage, Laura. It’s going to be your undoing.” With a low snarl, Laura lunged forward, muscles coiling as she charged into the warriors blocking her path. Steel clashed against claws and teeth as the forest erupted into chaos. Laura tore through the first warrior, slashing across his chest and knocking him to the ground. Another swung a sword at her from behind, but she twisted, catching his wrist in her jaws and wrenching the weapon free.
