He was glad that she was working with them.
None of Clarissa’s kicks or slaps affected him. He barely felt them, and she had no training on where to aim. The most she could get out of him was an occasional grunt.
“Let me go! I must dance for Righ,” she yelled.
In front of Centra, a large black door appeared. After she opened it, he could see soft grass at the bottom of the forest floor. He hoped she knew what direction to send them in.
There was no time to worry about it now. As he stepped through, a sudden wave of nausea hit him. His muscles spasmed hard, and he stumbled forward.
