Auden’s Blessing
“Not even grown yet, and already tired of living. What a pity.”
Terrified, Lolo tucked its tail and trembled like a frightened rabbit. I immediately snatched it back from Odin and held it in my arms. “What are you doing? He’s still so small.” In my arms, Lolo let out soft whimpers, shaking violently.
“Small?” Odin raised a fine brow. “This thing grows fast. In a few years, it will be capable of slaughtering entire villages.”
Lolo curled up without moving, then turned its head and glared fiercely at Odin, making strange sounds. I guessed it had been angered by being called “this thing.”
