Looking For Alaska Novels & Stories

Daliah "Just let me know if you need anything, alright?" The man in the pilot seat of the very small two-seater airplane shouts as the propellers start to spin noisily. I give him a quick nod as I pull the headphones he gave me over my ears. As soon as I had landed in Alaska, I was informed that the pack territory was on the north side of the state, and I had to catch a connection flight through a bush pilot.

"My mistake, what is it that I can help you with Cohen?" Alaska doesn’t even miss a beat, sounding as apologetic as pleasant for the mix up, sounding as anyone would expect her to sound. "Is Jaxson available?" Alaska stares at the small window as the first large raindrop hits the heavily weathered glass pane of the small and secluded cabin which is far away from civilization, surrounded by trees and a good distance from all pack borders, the type of place that one would expect two outcast wolves, who are for all purposes rogues, to live.

Jackson yells as I slam the door behind me. "Not anymore," I say under my breath. Going to the nearest diner, I order a coffee while pulling out the journals so I can go over each and every one of them to study and hopefully find a place to start looking for the packs. I spent the next few hours researching and was only able to find a starting location in Alaska. I go next door to the motel and get a room for tonight while I plan my next move. The run-down motel barely has any access to Wi-Fi, making it take nearly two hours just to book a one-way ticket to Alaska for tomorrow.

“Great, then let’s go to Dawson City. We’ll ask around.” Our team arrived with the vehicle, and we drove towards our destination. “A team of Red Wolves has been sighted in the Brooks Range, Alaska, Alpha,” said a team member. “What about the other team?” “Maybe they’re following Cerelia,” suggested Alpha Datsyuk. “Possible.”

How was it possible they don’t recall who turned them? I bit on the red marker as my mind went deep into thoughts. I had no clue yet, I continued mapping everything, including landmarks that could be very useful during the journey. Alaska has five regions range from the wildflower- filled tundra to lush temperature rain forests. I marked out the southwest and the south central before drowsiness began to torment me despite the coffee I had been sipping in.

“You’re so unsure, who am I supposed to look for if something goes wrong?” Afterwards, she said, “No way. From now on, I’ll go wherever you go and I’m not going anywhere else.” Alex was speechless. “I’m going to Alaska. Are you going too?” “It just happens that I also want to visit Alaska. I could go and visit the Oscar Anderson House and the Russian Orthodox Church. Anyways, I’m wandering around alone and nobody supplies me with food.” “...” Just like that, Freya followed Alex to Alaska. ***

I cried and I clasped at my chest. “We’ll find them,” Nora started but I snapped. “How the fuck are we going to find them here? Where could they even be?!” I looked around but everyone was in the way. “EVERYONE STOP FUCKING MOVING!” I growled and the entire mall froze like person-shaped cubes of ice. Please, please, please…come on, show me something. “Trixy, anything?” “Nothing.” She snarled. “I’m gonna die,” I breathed and tried to control my faltering vision but FUCK that was hard.

“Nothing. He doesn’t want anything except for his Dakota. He even claims that she is living among us. Can you imagine that?” I swallowed another drop of saliva, my thoughts running a mile per second. Alex was looking for me, but he didn’t use the name Kai knew me by, making me wonder exactly what his plan was. He must have thought that something terrible had happened to me and that he had to rescue me from Kai captivity. Why else would he be causing a stir, looking for Dakota when he can easily say Alana? Something just doesn’t add up. Was he trying to draw me out? I couldn’t be more certain than I already am.

"Winter, I am heartbroken and destroyed." Winter put a hand on hers and tightened gently. "Where are you living?" she asked. "That I don't tell you..." Pidge answered. "Alright...take your time and just know that we are only a phone call away," Winter smiled. _____________________________________ Maddox had landed to Alaska airport, the spark of hope still rising somewhere in his heart. He shrugged his coat and stepped in his car. "Where to, Mr Dasher?" asked the driver and he answered, "Take me to every bakery..."

He might not know enough to help me, but he could back me up about being penniless, pitiful, and desperate. I pick up my chair and sit back down in it. "There might be someone. But I don't know how to contact him. I lost his business card." Ben leans forward, prompting me to continue. "I hitchhiked to Fairbanks last month. The trucker who gave me a ride probably remembers me." "Fairbanks? Did you stay in Alaska this whole time? Why?" "If you were being hunted down by the people who killed your family and you had no
