My eyes move around based on instinct and as if fate is trying to test me, I see the dragon rider book lying on the floor, along with other books that have fallen with his bookshelf. My body tightens. It’s a pretty black colored large book with gold fonts. I had looked for it the other day but Xaden had come in before I could find it. I promised Liam to steal this for him and in return— he would protect my lie. But funny enough, I don’t have a single urge to reach for the book. My attention returns to Xaden limp body. I lower my upper body to his, placing my ear in front of his heart. I can’t hear a single breath. His chest is not moving.

I watched Josh through half closed eyes, he was sweating profusely and looked like he was enjoying himself. It was a covenant sealed in a room that smelled of damp walls and desperation. The torn cream lace was on the floor, a heap of ruined promises. On those yellowed sheets, amidst the noise of the nighttime slum outside, we claimed the only thing the VC couldn't reach. For a few hours, the danger didn't exist. By evening, we hadn’t found anything strong enough to annul and disapprove the decree of the Unanimous assembly. “Are you sure there’s something?” I asked, turning to Xavier, standing before a shelf opposite where I stood. “I’m sure,” Xavier replied without looking at me, his gaze on the book he was scanning. “Although, right now, I’m beginning to think there’s a chance that we might have lost the book.”

"Elara and Merida invited me too." Xavier quickly tapped the e-reader screen, which displayed a line he'd already written. "You're just an afterthought." Leonard silently shot him a look.

Even Logan decided to make them a drink because he couldn't stand the drowsiness that assaulted him. “Thanks for the drink!” Alice looked at Logan who only the man nodded. They refocused on reading the books until "I got them!" Xander exclaimed when he finished reading the thick book with a blood-red cover. After Xander had finished the 2 thick books, his attention had been turned to the book with a blood-red cover with black and white wing crests in front of it. He had noticed that Alice and Logan had been ignoring the book all along. Even at first, the book was in the earliest order, but no one wanted to read it. He also wanted to ignore the book and wanted to have a book with a green cove

Women began sorting the wreckage of the Lotus by its mineral content. There was no anger. There was no fear. There was only Assignment. Lilith was panting as she breathed heavily, catching her breath. Her eyes were downcast and her luscious red locks clung to her sweat stained cheeks. He then placed the book on his desk as he walked over towards her. His large hand stroked her back gently as he ushered her to breathe slowly. His fingers reached into the depths of his pockets as he fished out a handkerchief, wiping away at the gleaming beads of sweat trickling down her pale skin.
