I’d kept it hidden for years, pretending it didn’t exist and pretending he didn’t exist. But pretending didn’t change the truth. The walls flickered and peeled away, swallowed by shadows until the room was gone. In its place was nothing. A cold endless still void.. And there, in the middle of it, I stood alone. In the silence, a low, velvety laugh came from across the table. It made my legs go weak all over again. “Hallie, I was the one who told you to touch me. How could I blame you? “Look up.” That commanding tone came down from above again. My body obeyed before I could resist. Owen was crouched in front of me. The moment I looked up, our eyes met. His smile hadn’t faded. Then his ears twitched. Just like that, I was tempted to touch them again. So it wasn’t that I suddenly lost all restraint, but this incubus’s special ability. He could control me!

SELENA'S POV The sun rays escaped the guarding of the curtains and trickled on my face causing me to stir awake, turning and tossing on the huge comfy bed. I sat up and glared at the curtains for not doing its job properly. I wasn't a morning person and I hated the sun. Jace wasn't in the room... great! You scared him away with your blabbing. I just hope he didn't hear me confessing my undying love for Lee Yeon in my sleep.
