Love Is Never Silent Novels & Stories

Ten-year-old Rhett Grimfang glared at me. I was just about to turn and leave when the hem of my gown became stuck at the corner of the table, tearing it open with a loud rip. "You scheming she-wolf! That was the dress my mother loved most!" Rhett's eyes were red as he stared at me with hatred. "Rhett… you're lying. Sylvia loved gowns inlaid with moonstone crystals. How could she possibly have cherished this plain, old white dress?"

“And we’re still working.” The candle burned low. The night pressed in gentle and calm. They didn’t need more words. Because sometimes, the loudest kind of love is the kind that never has to shout to be heard. And in that quiet room, surrounded by nothing more than breath, warmth, and trust, they knew this was enough. This was everything.

By the water As it glistens You could listen, To the sound of your tears To the sound of your tears But remember that I love you, I will forever No matter what happens, To me or you We’ll be together Through the years So as you cry Please listen, To the sound of your tears To the sound of your tears” He finished, Robert stopped strumming. Loving what they had just heard. There was a long pause, he looked around the room at everyone’s faces, He saw Alex and Henry with their mouths open, Emma smiling smugly, Robert grinning. Nicola had tears in her eyes and Richard took a deep breath and puffed out his cheeks. Lucy had both hands over her mouth and tears streaming down her face. James sat down

His eyes were colored with rage underneath the dim streetlights. Why would Misty unabashedly show off her love to another man in front of him? Misty couldn't speak. She knew he was angry. A stifling silence filled the space. Carter had wanted to engage Misty in a heart-to-heart talk, but he finally realized there wasn't a need for it. Carter started the car and drove home in disappointment. … Carter and Misty gave each other the silent treatment in the next few days. Misty understood that she had pissed Carter off, but at the same time, she felt wronged.

A place built from silence and persistence and hope and love that refused to disappear even when circumstances suggested it should. Perhaps that was why the title had always fit. The silenced bride. The relentless love. Not opposites. Not separate stories. The silence had taught them how to listen. The love had taught them how to stay. And somewhere between those two lessons they had built a life larger than either of them had ever imagined possible.

The sound felt loud in the silence. My heart was racing. I wiped my tears quickly, but more kept falling. “I don’t have time anymore,” I whispered. He did not interrupt me. He did not comfort me either. He just watched. Waiting. The weight of everything pressed down on me at once. My sister lying in that hospital bed. Her weak body. Her quiet voice. The way she always smiled at me like everything would be okay. I could not lose her. I looked at Dominic again. He was still calm, still quiet, still waiting for my answer.

"It's yours. All of yours. Carry it forward. Pass it on. That's all I ask." The fire crackled. The stars wheeled overhead. And somewhere, in the spaces between worlds, the Silence sat alone in its eternal prison, powerless against the one force it could never understand. Love.

"You should get rid of Ivan's girlfriend. I've hated her from the start. Ivan's with her only because she looks like you." With a loud thud, I slammed the glass of water Tara handed me onto the table. "I have never spoken to Ivan in my entire life. Apart from being former classmates, there's nothing between us. Stop spreading baseless rumors. That's defamation," I warned. The room fell into silence. Just then, the music changed, and an unknown crooner started wailing about lost love and second chances. It got on my nerves. "Why are you acting all high and mighty?" someone sneered in their corner.

"Goodbye, for now." Byron whispered, "Dana, I'll wait for you. I'll wait for you to find yourself, for you to love me. This time, I promise I won't let go. I'm confident I can win you over. I'm already your fiancé, after all." After saying my goodbyes to Byron, I boarded the plane. The mountains and rivers stretched out before me, and I knew, this time, I had truly risen from the river.

You have brought me To that moment when word runs dry To that moment where speech disappears Into silence, silence Daphnie sang beautifully. I was amazed at how much passion she sang with this time. Where had this passion come from? Past the point of no return No going back now Our passion play Has now, at last begun When it was time for the duet, I stood up as we sang together Past the point of no return The final threshold I extended my hand out to her. She took my hand, stood up, and spun around to be in my arms.
