The entity possessed three distinct eyes shaped like crescent moons, and from its open maw, a river of dark fluid poured into the earth, mutating the wolves who drank it into the very obsidian beasts they had fought in the palace.

There is a clear white area around the wolf and where the white part goes, the dark tendrils curve around it, not touching the white. “Tell me, Kataleya, what do you think this depicts?” she asks, looking up at me. When he unwrapped it, I saw a brass disk—green with age—etched with a spiral and a ring of lettering that refused to be English. “Crowe collects patterns,” he said. “A vampiric signature that trips the lines like thunder? "Pull of your cloth Sarafina" she said, I obey and pull of my clothe, a loud gasp escape her lips. "What?" I ask her. "They have a star shaped symbol at the hollow of their backs" she muttered and hold my hand to my back, she then use my finger to trace a star drawing.
